Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
Alrighty, this one took a while to finish up although it's looks so simple.
First off, I vectored a screencap of Itachi I saved a while ago. I had to close his left eye (our right) and add some shadows..that might explain some awkwardness. All this was done by Illustrator. The eye was done in Photoshop, I had quite a few problems with it, and I hope it looks fine now. I wanted to put lots of detail into the eye, as it's mainly the focus of the wall.
Now, the theme is about when Itachi got the mangekyou sharingan. The tear is red, because it's the 'internal tears' of him grieving over his lost best friend. Though I doubt he actually cried in the anime, this is the perspective of his mind, where the dark side of him wants to claim power.
Thanks to all the help in Session Zero, and special thanks to nuniko, Furikuu, JTsang and Chaox for helping with the most important parts of the eye. :)
This really is freakin awesome. the vectoring looks great, so nice work on that. and i like how you used basically three colors, but they all tie together and make this a wonderful wallie. and i love how itachi's eye looks here.

OMG! I LOVE IT! This wall is so freakin awesome that I don't even have words for it... A simple black and white (and red) wall that holds so much meaning and power...man, this is just awesome. Itachi isn't my fave character in Naruto but you definitely captured his character well in this one. And the eye! You did such an IMPRESSIVE job with the Sharingan (which is the most important part of Itachi)! I also love the trail of blood at the other closed eye. Anyway, before I ramble on forever, I'll shut up by adding this to my fave ^^

Awesome :) Not sure what happened to the black outlines on the right side (his left eyebrow + eyelid), they didn't have those tiny white jagged lines surrounding them before. :/ But that's really the only thing I can think of complaining about. I'm sure that you can still improve this, but don't count on me to tell you how, because I can't vector worth crap. XD
