This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Nowadays, wallpapers involving vectors have been as common as everyday's bread, but it is undoubtly a fact that this wallpaper shows how vectors can be used and improved to such an extent that one can only be amazed in front of it.
What makes this wallpaper worth to be highlighted is not its background or its originality or creativity. It is its EFFECTIVENESS. This wallpaper is damn effective. Grayserg managed to make a normal vector look incredibly good by touching it up and by perfectly playing with shading, lighting and blending modes. It sounds simple on paper, but I bet you guys that achieving a result like that requires an high level of knowledge and experience. As a result of all this we have a wallpaper that perfectly works on a desktop, that has a nice contrast, and manages to grab the attention of the viewer to constantly keep looking at it because of its overall entertaining shading/lighting.
And as a final note, I do suggest you to go visit Grayserg's gallery, that really deserves more attention and appreciation. :)
Should tell - I don't know what more I can do with this wallpaper.
Yes, background is simple again :) And huge black hole in right corner:) But I like colors and general shade...
And I love Deedlit (Hello, Victor! :))

Aahh.. i didnt notice the tremendous amount of detail until i full viewed it. At the glance of the small thumbnail i thought it was just another boring old wallpaper. But no. The colors...blend together so beautifully and the attention you put into the special effects is amazing. I really like the way you highlighted the main character to make it stand out from the other person that is behind him. It draws more focus onto one thing as apposed to splitting it amongst two features. Very well done.
Looks awesome! This will go on my desktop right this moment! Everything looks so crisp and yet so natural, unlike many other vectors I've seen. Keep it up -- love to see more from you!
A very well deserved featured wall... You really did a very excellent job on this wall... The background may be nothing too much but it still works... You shading technique is very good and also very catching to the eye... A job brilliantly done!

Omg, I just thought it was a really really really nice scan. o_o When I first saw this wall on *someone's* comp, the first thing I said was "Ooo. Nice scan." Seriously. Omg. It's vectored. x_x BG is a bit plain, but seriously, I don't think it needs more work than this. +_+
WoW! This is a really incredible rendering! Yes, rendering from the vectors till the texture and shading and also to spice it up there is also a slight hint of those popular cell-type shading you see on most console 3D games.
When I saw this wall in the todays top rated section and red the commetary I must say I didnt see what all the comotion was about then I dowloaded it... WOW, I mean its beautifull, dark and donne with great skill, fantastic work!

Masterful vector, that one. Very professional-looking. Know you're a hero to many, for walling Deed like that.
