This wallpaper gives us a perfect example of how a simple manga scan can be turned into a beautiful vector. Not only did danalm trace the lineart, but he also added amazing details and a simple, yet wonderful background. Furthermore, the wallpaper shows us how the monochromatic style can make your work look really interesting.
I've been wanting to do a Rahxephon wall forever, for one because it's one of my fave series ever and second cause the illustrations for the series are just beautiful. So i finally did one! It's simplistic but fitting I think. The columns I used are from a stock photo then I added some clouds and tweaked it a bit to blend in with the sky of the original scan. The hardest part was layering everything in a way so that Ayato was in a total contrast but still able to be seen. And well I fought with the text but I wanted to leave it in and it's kind of just there but I hope it's ok >__<
Anyway Haruka has always been a part of Ayato and he's always been searching for her, so in a way she's the color and the light of his life... i guess? blah blah I'm just happy I finally got the Rahxephon wall I've been wanting forever~ hope you enjoy it!
Oh and the title is from one of the ost songs of the Rahxephon movie by Maaya Sakamoto, it's lovely too~
Hmm Im not liking how the wall feels as if the pillar is overlapping Ayato's body.. I rather have it the other way around... The transition between the darker side to the brighter tone of teh wall is abrupt. But hey, thats a different use of the Ayato scan where you cut off most of his head to show off his... awesome abs lol...

Making the left relatively dark attracted me to the right. i like the colours, but don really think the font fits. anyway...nice work. it's an attractive wall.
I don't really know the series this wallpaper is supposed to be based on but I have to say that this is really beautiful, the dark side and the light really compliment each other imo. Althrough.. are the two people on both sides the same person?

This is a nice wallpaper. I love how everything blends in smoothly and there are words that I'm trying to find to describe this, but I can't seem to find any. Fantastic job =). It makes me feel calm and peaceful, and it brings me away from all the horrid stuff from the outside world.
