This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
@Damo: Well when I click on it to sign it in, it takes a while to load and then a message appears saying "click troubleshoot and we'll repair the problem" Doesn't tell me what the problem is after.
Well, if you want to know more then I'll be available through PM or MSN, whichever is best for you. Rather not go further into on the SB of all places. =P
Well... let's just say that university and other matters literally took away all the time I had, so I slowly worked on wallpapers bit by bit during these months.
And this is the first of them that I am submitting (and the most quick for me, though it still took me the usual couple of days). This wallpaper is basically a "remix" of the one that I submitted as entry at Samurai Champloo's contest at animegalleries, which I decided to rework and improve since now I have all the time I want due to winter holidays. :)
It's pure vectored randomness. The original scan can be found HERE, and I decided to play with its colours and make that kind of vectored/abstract wallpaper that w00tazn likes so much. Definetely a style that I never tried before, but I wanted to give it a shot and see what I could do.
And as you noticed in the signature, there's a new website that will appear most likely next month, which is gonna be my new home. So if you're looking for more resolutions, stay tuned and when the website will be ready you'll be able to find them there. :)
Oh yeah, and thanks to w00tazn for suggesting some idea for the typo, lol.
Cute! The colors really give the wallpaper a hot feeling and the vectoring is done well too. I like the background work. It really makes the image pop. Awesome work!
Lovely Samurai Champloo wallapaper . . . i love the series. :D . . . and i really like this wallpaper . . . lovely background too . . . i don't like the trees, its just like to don't much . . . but only my opinion. . . . I like the colors and i like the txt very much . . . I think you have done a great work on this wall. Thank you so much for sharing it. :D hope to see more of you in the future.
I really like the composition of this wallpaper. The text is great, "Golden Age" really suits the mood of this wall. I think the slightly chaoticness of the wall matches the feeling of the series. That being said, I think the textures on the characters are unnecessary. Overall, good job!LOVELY blood work..it sure looks fantastic...it brings out such a strong and sexy image of her...nicely well done...its very LOVELY indeed..the wallpaper itself is just outstanding..and what a brillent title for it as well...keep up the great work... xD

The arrows as extensions from the causal directionality of her fingers are sweet but it's the smaller things that really does it. Samurai Champoo has a natural hip hop theme so the semi graffiti look is extremely proper and the hat redone with her hair more vibrant suprisingly stands out over the gradient bg.
