This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Nah, I don't want new ones I need these ones to break in more. But my left thumb is really hurting right where the knuckle is >.< I guess I have some bad habits on my left hand.
I'm so glad this wallpaper turned out the way I liked it. It was tough to decide which anime to tie it up with (I had 3 choices) and I ended up choosing Samurai Champloo which had this funky-japanese-traditional theme going. Its was pretty easy to pull off with the BG.
I started with the usual, atmosphere/scenery setting. Then I divided in to 3 panels. The panel style I got from watching Honey and Clover, one of Hagu's works was divided in panels. The original BG is the middle part, then the sides are splashed in one color (which idea I got from this totally wicked wallpaper). The top middle part was hard to decide with. It just looked too plain without something. So I added that design just to make it more funky/girly-whatever. Added a few spatter for a semi-grungy (?) look.
I added Jin and Fuu's silhouettes as well. It won't be Samurai Champloo without them. ^__^
Cute. I would also say that it was original but may I say that you literally copied a couple of vectors that I've seen at deviantart? I mean it's just identical, haha.
Anyway it's cool but for some reason Mugen doesn't blend with that background and style that you went for. It feels more like an intruder than being part of the whole composition. You should have vectored his silhouette and made him full black to blend with the black shaped background behind him.
But overall it's good and it's something different from your typical scenic wallpapers :)
Keep it up shinta!
Omg... i love it! i t is so pretty.. i don't do wallpaper so i don't know how much effor tyou put in to this and i've never watched samurai champloo, but it definitely looks really GREAT. thank you!

Oh wow~! This is amazing!! I like the clashing of colors and how clean and crisp it is! You didn't make a mistake by putting that flower pattern in the middle... it looks good in there! Ohh.. and also I like the way the text is positioned. It gives way to the beautiful colors.
The silhouettes add a nice touch to the character!
I only find the hanging black lines a bit awkward. I couldn't quite get it.. but maybe it's just my lack of experience in deciphering wallies?
But it's still a great job!! +fav!!

Oh...nice one shinta, you left out the winter season xD haha. (some bad memory?) anyways, the wall looks good, even with 3 diff colors. the vector work is nice as allways. although I don't really like the hanging stuff in the middle =/. shinta should keep the works :D~!
I think i like this slightly better than the other one. the background looks a bit more like a wall. which would be less creepy for jin's shadow to be there. heh.
its very...champloo...heh. excellent *thumbs up*

Woderfull Wall! If it isn't Mugen. =) I like this one alot. The way you mixed those thress colors came out quite well with the finishing product. keep it up. =)
OH! WOW! I really love the background you have, it's very original with the three colours and how each one of them has a background to it, which was what first caught my eye. It's very appealing, so I think I'm gonna add it to my Favz, you did a wonderful job, keep up the great work! ^_^
Oooh wow!

Really original and looks sweet. This is much better than your last few walls, and a very different direction than usual as far as your styles go. The constrasting seasons really look cool, and the color contrast works well for the three characters. Sweet wall. +fav
Sweet. I love the colours, althought it seems to be a bit weird... There could still be some editing, but overall, it's absolutely beautiful. I love it the way it is, so please don't change anythign XD Honestly, I can't say more without giving this one a fave =D +fav
