This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
@Damo: Well when I click on it to sign it in, it takes a while to load and then a message appears saying "click troubleshoot and we'll repair the problem" Doesn't tell me what the problem is after.
Well, if you want to know more then I'll be available through PM or MSN, whichever is best for you. Rather not go further into on the SB of all places. =P
Weird, isn't it? But fitting for the mixed media extravaganza that is FLCL. I was just shuffling through the recent walls, and this one really made me want to click! And you never know, it might have the same effect on you ^^
Like others have said, it's very original. While it's unique, it's very relevant to the series. Sure, the series is "over the top" and "in your face" and etc. That can't be disputed, but it's also very simple coincidentally. Your wall captures that, in my opinion. It also seems to have the same quiet feeling of the town prior to the events of the anime. Great job.
I like the way that you got the real pic in there, thats just super trippy. But i do feel like it is alittle too simple, but that in its own is a good concept.
I fucken love it, i'll even add it to my favorites. Well done! I loved the red/pink/whatever book ;___; awesomeeee 33 did you took the pictures? wah ;__; i completely fell in love with this one.
