This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Nah, I don't want new ones I need these ones to break in more. But my left thumb is really hurting right where the knuckle is >.< I guess I have some bad habits on my left hand.

I see me sitting sadly in the corner
Knees drawn up tightly to my chest.
Mind and body wreaked in sorrow
As tears course down my face.
I pray to a God I don't believe in
Yet I curse him in the same breath.
I look at me with narrowed eyes
Pitying the sorry creature I have become.
I look into my wretched soul
Cursing the emptiness inside.
Emptiness put there by my own stupidity.
As I stand over the huddling form of myself
I see I have gotten what I deserved from life.
I had no right to the beautiful love we shared
When the love rightfully belonged to her.
Sadly I watch the shell of myself slowly cracking
Oozing out all the pain and misery within my soul.
There on top of all the shattered pieces
Lay my beating heart, all alone.
I gently pick it up and place it where it belongs.

Well kicking off the New Years! I have a new present for all of you :). Its called broken the anime is Neon Genesis Evangelion. This is a little free time off work wall that I did while listening to "Evenesence - My Immortal" this wall portraits about how the world would be like if we continued on the path of war. The scan was perfect for this wall including that I added the water trickling down Shinji face and Rei's body. I also added the pathway and did some experimenting with it, I also created the sign thats near them it says "LAST EXIT" trying to tell you that the last exit (hope) has basically been destroyed and has been damaged. I added more detail to the sign like the bolts on the corners and the center and then added the distortion on the peices of the sign as you see on the top and bottom and then added the puddle of water to add that last effect. The background itself was a quick but well show of design by using a hard bush and scribble around the area making buildings and such and then adding the fill effect to it giving that horrid like atmosphere. I then thought it would be good to add a storm to the mix with heavy rain and then blurred most parts of the picture resulting in a downpour effect (I was experimenting with that too). Next was the fire, this is a very simple process but gets to the point across on adding more damage to the city. I then added the rose into Rei's hand to give the point across that they were the worlds only hope and failed. Finally the helicopters and the light post. I added the helicopters to give the "aftermath" of the war to end all wars finding survivors using my brain I added a little more rain to the spotlight being that when the light hits the rain it causes the eye to see it more clearly. Now the Street light was just a concept of adding to the city that came to a fact of giving the city more detail (adding the sparks from the DO NOT WALK/WALK light, and the dangling street light), I would of added a car or something but it just looked too cluttered. Anyway I hope you all have a very good 2006 and I wish for all the best for you! ^_^
Hm, well, first, the effects are pretty good. I like the helicopter. The water effect on the scan was a pretty nice touch, although it looks kind of strange on Rei's legs.
The wall is too blurry, I understand that the background should be blurred (although probably not that much), but the scan looks a bit strange. The wood (?) they're sitting on looks a bit out of place, too. The text doesn't really fit in, either. That's about it.
Not bad though, probably one of your best walls. :D
Way, way, way too blurry... It's hard to tell what's going on because everything is so out of focus. The color concept is good, but I think you went a bit too far with the desaturation; it makes everything feel kind of flat and makes it less interesting. Overall, this wall needs some help.
I like the text at the bottom left but the image is way too blurry so yeah. overall the color concept is goood and the scan is really nice

Oh! Very pretty! Somehow when you mentioned My Immortal by Evanescense, the entire wallpaper came into a very clear proportion. Very well done. I really like the way you used the original scan! I love it!

Wow... I'm a big fan of ShinjixRei and the choice of scan is absolutely fantastic! I love the concept.. a good wake-up call for most of us. The background is a bit blurry though.. I know you were probably aiming for that effect but I think it would be nice if we could actually see the destruction.
Anyway, nice work on the pathway and the sign. I like the way that it's illuminated and the sign is a bit cut off from the view. It's a subtle warning but a strong one too ^__^

Your rain effect looks kinda odd, also the wallpaper is way too blurry @_@"... makes me abit dizzy. the bricks looks kinda funny with that style. but oh well.. this wallpaper isn't really well organized. it's like the wallpaper lost his goal. better fix it up n_n
The reason why its too blurry is because of the downfall of the rain ive seen it alot how the visibility decreases, and I wanted to concentrate more on Shinji and Rei up front. I mean if you guys think it is too blurry I have the backup of the clear one. This was one of thoes messages that come up to you as the end of the world and being the blurry atmosphere its supposed to give out the downpour. Thanks alot for your comments ill be sure to think about what you said!
