Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

Oh I can remember when I found the picture of Kaoru. I simply had to do something with it!
I used many brushes and blending options cause the background is a real photo ^^ I think it took me about 2-3 hours.
Hope you like it and maybe you can give me some advices?

Beautiful, although I'm not a big fan of the text. You could either remove it, or improve it (ditch the wind effect). It would also be nice if you could lower your signature so that the taskbar covers it and there's more space for the actual desktop. :) And I think you forgot to remove a portion of white on her hair, but that could easily be fixed.
THAT IS AWESOME. XDD I like the darkness, and sparklies!! XDD Kaoru looks pretty too, I would've definitely done something with that picture too if I actually knew how to make walls. XDD GOOD JOB!

Omg, I really like this wall. Kaoru looks so seductive and beautiful. The background matches her perfectly (down to every color in her kimono). Truly lovely. I also like the texture you added, and the smog effect gives it a dreamlike quality...almost like a fantasy. +fav
