This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
@Damo: Well when I click on it to sign it in, it takes a while to load and then a message appears saying "click troubleshoot and we'll repair the problem" Doesn't tell me what the problem is after.
Well, if you want to know more then I'll be available through PM or MSN, whichever is best for you. Rather not go further into on the SB of all places. =P
I've always loved this kind of wallpapers that make a parody out of notorious games/movies/things, and this is like probably the best and funniest one I've come across.
Heavily inspired from the popular game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Katzbalger adds its flavour to the hilarious anime Pani Poni Dash, mixing the two so well that you just cannot resist from smiling and giggling while looking at it.
Definetely a badass wallpaper, masterfully realized and vectored, and with lot of icon space. You cannot miss it! :ninja:
Wow... it's only been 7... maybe 8 months since I last made a wallpaper. I would say that I've been too busy, but that'll be a partial lie, so I'll add the fact that no decent ideas have popped into my head during the time alloted... until now.
Incase you haven't noticed, it's Pani Poni Dash. I used the Terminator Becky for this one, with slight improvements to make her look more gansta. Why gansta? Well, incase you haven't noticed this part of it either, it's styled after the loading screen from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. I was playing the game at the time I saw the becky image and said "that'll work a charm".
This is my first pure vector wall. The text was done in Photoshop, but text in PS is vectored anyway, so it's all vectors. Re-working and re-creating Becky was a damn nightmare and took me about 2 weeks to do, the back ground however, took about 20 minutes and is a screenshot of the school gates.
And for those of you who think that the wall looks a bit too... warm. There's also an oran::cough:: Blue version for you to get your hands on. I live please.
Hahaha this one is uber katz :D~! your style...simply rox XD~! the contrast between the detailed character vector and the simple bg is great :D. great work here !
LOL the text is right on the button! It would of been much more simple to get the actual fonts from Dafont but if you do it yourself its alot more fun :P really great idea! Good (wait...no great!) work on this!
I like both versions but prefer the orange because Becky seems to be part of the background more than the blue one does (probably due to the lighting color in her hair as hamstersanonymous mentioned earlier). Excellent parody though and it fits so well wit PPD as a theme on it's own that it's even more perfect!
Wow...becky looks dangerous...hahaa and sort of sexy...who
the orange version has a better mood than the blue one...i felt the energy emitting from it. cute wall
