Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

Well, I recently started buying copies of Newtype JP, and when I found this fantastic image of Saber from Fate/Stay Night, I knew I had to wall it (I'm a huge fan of the character designs from Moontype). Basically, I had to recg a good part of this scan cause a page fold (the enemy of every good scan), and the usual clean-up stuff to get it useable. The BG is actually inspired from the original ad, I really like the color-scheme so I tried to replicate it, and eventually I ended up going with a storm/rain kind of look to everything. I tried something new in this wallpaper, and the simplistic, kind of sad but still bright look turned out to be pretty good looking. Big thanks to Kalico for all her suggestions (like the rain droplets in her hair and the water running down her shoulders). I hope you all enjoy!

the water droplets really helped. they put her in the scene, which is really important.

anyway... this wallpaper is really awesome
although i think it would have been better without the text
the text kinda looks cramped up between the border and her head
a very clean scan with the craziest rain effect
should be at the top 3 in no time... x_o

Hey! I like Saber a lot. And this wallpaper just serves me right XD The only thing I don't like too much is that it is a bit too blurry. However - the atmosphere (the background) and of course the scan in the foreground - are quite amazing! Great work man! +fav

Nice bground design however teh face is way too bright for my tft. i can hardly see her smile and only under an 60o angle is the details of her face visible T-T

Nice simple composition that works well, although saber seems a bit too bright, or make the contrast of the colors better. very effective.

I agree with some people about the brightness issues but nothing to harmful enough to kill the setting. I think you did a bang up job and that pose is just...hmmm with the rain? How do you say very sexy :P (well imo shes hot so Ill just stay with that ;)) Good work m8 you keep it up :)
