As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Do have a look at this beautiful wallpaper!

Just completed this BT wallpaper *phew* (have no idea how many layers went into this...). Had to redraw part of the gun on the right, and added all the crazy scarf action in the back. I felt the background went with the explosive action I was trying to convey, in addition to the shattering platform that Jo is on. Oh, and if you look closely at the scarf you'll see a slight texture ^^.
I like this alot, though I am not a BT fan but this wall caught my attention. The scarf must have took you some time. I didnt notice the shattering platform until I read your comment though, maybe you can make it more obvious. The "Bakuretsu Tenshi" is also not noticable, i suggest either remove it or make it stand out more. Lastly, +Fav !!
Awesome Bakuretsu Tenshi wallpaper with Jo, Meg, Sei and Amy! I love the bg, especially the ground. I like how you have made the red ribbons criss-cross eachother, nice effect. This wallpaper deserves to be in my fav list!

The way you drew the scarves in fits very well, I wasn't sure if they were part of the original scan or your own work :P But the extraction around the girls seems to have a faint white outline in parts, I'm not sure if it's intentional but I find it somewhat offputting. In addition the abstract background seems quite fuzzy, lacking crispness. But very nice composition, good use of the entire canvas.
Well :3 i actually can tell where's the original scarf and the extended ones riku ^.^ the only thing that helps me differentiate the two is, the original one has lines at some of the shadows plus outlines too if i'm not wrong. good attempt/idea at trying to extend the scarf, just need a little more improvement ^_^ the bg is a little blurry like furikuu said :3 but nice attempt/idea ^__^
Yeah, Riku submitted another wall :) Well, nice concept on the scarf bg there. The scan is ok for me since it is not so blurry. Nice re-cg work being done there too. I notice there are 2 slim lines on the upper left corner of the wall. You did it purposely? Overall, a great one and keep it up.
I do see the texture on the scarf. That's how I can tell what parts of the scarf you redrew. The original parts of the scarf have texture too, but it isn't as obvious as the texture on the redrawn parts.
Ever considered vectoring the characters? I think that would look cool. :)
WoW oh WOW this wallpaper is SupA nice... i like the way the scarf goes all around the wall paper.. lol even if ther isnt ever gunna be a scarf that long...
