This wallpaper gives us a perfect example of how a simple manga scan can be turned into a beautiful vector. Not only did danalm trace the lineart, but he also added amazing details and a simple, yet wonderful background. Furthermore, the wallpaper shows us how the monochromatic style can make your work look really interesting.
Lol, This time i wanted to try out something nice and simple. I know Christmas already passed but i couldn't resist making such a cool scan into a wall XD.
This didn't take so long, probably 3-4 hours and only has around 12 layers.
Another reason why i made this wall was to try out some new brushes :P
I guess this is my late Christmas present to everyone ^^ Merry Christmas
*EDIT* took away the white scanlines from the rosevine like brushes :P
Ok, for this one, there are both good and bad points.
the wallpaper is clean, and refreshing easy to look at, which makes it very nice to be on a desktop as it relaxes the eyes.
The cute chibi characters add a refreshing breath to it making it seem lively.
I like what you did with the BG very random, kinda like my style, however the pattern brushes are slightly weird, because half of it is technical and tech like, the other half is rose vine like, with a touch of elegance, which i can say does not really match.
I like how you used the dreamy effect on the characters, making it blend well with the background, I think that is good point of the wallpaper.
You need to save it at a higher resolution, otherwise it looks edged and pixelated, I suggest it to be saved in the "save for web" option and set the minimum quality level to at least 80 percent and above.
I hope the C and C helped. good work, expect some more walls from you!cheers!

OI MEEEEE GAAAHHHH!! this is soo dam cute! i love the background =) the blue-ness just makes it like a relaxing colour =) i love the brushes =) looks really nice =)
one thing though.. i think you should like less brighten up shinn.. since like.. you can barely see the outline on his mouth =P or teeth in this case =P =D
overall i think you did an AWESOME JOB on it =) keep up the good work =) i hope to see more of your awesome work =) this is for sure going into my faves :) since its sooo cutee =)

i think you should make shinn and luna a bit darker or maybe it's just me. seems a bit too bright. hurts my eyes a little bit. especially shinn's teeth. i can hardly see the outline. =P but good try though. =)

The chibi characters are really cute, and positioned well. They really suit and emphasize the christmas theme you have going on.
Lovely background. Simple design, with colors that tie in with the winter/christmas theme.
