This wallpaper gives us a perfect example of how a simple manga scan can be turned into a beautiful vector. Not only did danalm trace the lineart, but he also added amazing details and a simple, yet wonderful background. Furthermore, the wallpaper shows us how the monochromatic style can make your work look really interesting.
I got just one word to describe this wall “AWESOME.” Gideon did a brilliant job on this wall every little detail is taken care of, and it all fits perfectly together. What really makes this wall stand out though is that it was done by hand and not a bunch of brush work like so many others. The composition, color, and design of this wall is absolutely amazing. The background with its stunning colors and eye catching patterns do a great job of keeping your attention and Armstrong fits in perfectly among it all. Speaking of Armstrong the vector is top notch and brilliantly stylized. Yep this is one wall you sure don’t want to miss whether you are a Full Metal fan or not.

It's actually because the wall's meant to simulate a circus poster, advertising the Strong Man, in a way. That's how they were advertised, wasn't it? That was the appeal. End Edit.
I vectored some Armstrong lineart from this and then cell shaded it with my trusty Wacom tablet. It's cooler than all j00! The grey swirly things are all hand made and vectored (and then rasterized for you crazy "PS doesn't do vector" people). The things in the back were either Wacomed or vectored, and then slapped with some snazzy patterns in bright colours. Except for the "rays." Polygon lasso tool all the way!
One With The Freaks is a cute song by The Notwist. You should try it on for size.
I'll try and get the gianamorous 1600 up on Chroma at some point or another. If not, you should go there anyways.
Hahahaha excellent. I love the shear design put into this piece. It sums up Armstrong to a colorful tea. The color, shapes, and symbol work together perfectly with the pose and I like how it's just a little off from the center. Wonderful job.

Oh wow, it seems everyone is making some bad-ass Walls today. This is so Armstrong. The colors, pattern and him shining out there! Dude, this just plains "Rock"! Keep it up!^__^

since the main char is Louis Armstrong afterall, and well,
it's also because of the background. It somewhat matches him
perfectly, though not really my liking.. but yeah, it's cool..
and the pattern behind him do looks good. Ignoring the idea
that he really somekind of "errr" in my opinion.. it's a good wall ^^
