This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
D*N*Angel is a manga that I always wanted to read but, for some reason, never finished. I can't really explain this; it just happened.
Kind of like this wallpaper. I've always liked this picture of Dark - something about the movement of the scarf. Or maybe the prettiness. But it was just so purple! Actually, more like PURPLE! I like purple as much as the next person, possibly more, but I couldn't handle that shade at all. The wallpaper's still purple, but I think it's a less aggressive shade. The whole colour scheme kind of reminds me of a sunrise. Which is kind of funny if you think about it. C'mon - Dark = night, sunrise = light? Ah, whatever. It's funny to me.
On one hand, this was a rather simple wallpaper to make. No brushes to be speak of, just a picture. But on the other hand, there were a helluva lot of layers. If I never fiddle with the colour balance of a picture again, it will be too soon. :P

I am actually liking this. and purple wouldn't have given this aura for this wallpaper. this one, it's simplicity and effectiveness moves me. the only thing i didn't like is the font size as i would have preferred it smaller.

and sometimes, simple wallpapers are the best conveyers of feeling and emotion. ^^ no need to worry if your wall is simple. ^^

I think that the whole wallpaper is to blurry. I think that you should clean up the scan that you used. What I like about the wallpaper is the colour and texture. Keep up the good work and I hope to see more of your work in the future.
