This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
I snuck one wallpaper that wasn't on my to-do list. Hmm.. from the looks of it, I haven't submitted one in 2 months. I'll just use this as a welcoming to the brand new v4. ^_^
I found the scan while browsing through be your true mind. I instantly fell in love with it, even though I have had bad memories with Lineage. The scan was dirty and really needed to be cleaned up. But I just didn't want it to be some kind of touch-up wall. I ended up choosing to go grunge. I wanted to bring out the more distinct features like the skin, hair, etc. I hope I did that well enough.

Wow, that is really good. Definitely going into my favs. Everything about this work is just so well done! It looks ornate, very artistic, and quite classically elegant. The way you made her surroundings tie in just perfectly with the image, which is also amazing - if that scan was dirty, I can't see any evidence of it at all. It has a lot of emotion to it as well, the feelings it evokes for me are undefined and kind of ethereal.

the amount of the patterns on the background, though instead of making the
wallpaper loses it focus, it actually able to bring out the main character out from
those dense "forest" of green. Good job! It'll be going to my favs too ;p
This is one of the prettiest grunge walls I've seen. It really is great on how you managed to do that. It really looks magical and the coloring though muted just fits perfectly. Beautiful job!
Beautiful work! Love the earthy colours, love the flow of the lines across the composition. The movement in the swirls and the smudge of green motifs make it seem like she's in a storm of leaves! This wall really stood out from the others for me.
