My first wallpaper ever made--well...one of my firsts; also, my first submission here! :)
I really hope you all enjoy this as much as I do--I'm rather proud of it due to the fact that it's one of my firsts and best first-wallpaper I've ever done.
I thind it's wonderful, maybe too "girlish", but I love it. The only thing doesn't convince me is that the lines of the girl are not black, but the shadow is. I have seen your wall in Session Zero and I think it's really improved. Good job.
The only thing that is not combining is this shade... and the color was not very good. One of the attractions of this anime its well glad and alive trace, with excellent colors and effects.
This would have been better if you had changed the scene, placing the char in a gladder environment, perhaps in a garden.

A fair job for a first wallpaper. I'm not particularly fond of purple, but the purple you have used doesn't strike me as garish. It's quite a nice shade of purple, actually. ^^ I think this wallpaper could do with a greater variety of color, though, since Mitsuki, as well as the background, are both in the same shade of purple. Some soft black brushing set to overlay and some soft white brushing might add a little depth.
The image of Mitsuki also appears somewhat hard, whereas, even though the background has hard lines, appears softer. You might want to duplicate the Mitsuki layer, gaussian blur it, and set it to overlay/soft light/multiply, adjusting the opacity as you see fit. A couple of textures might also help improve color variation in this piece.
Finally, I would suggest using a different font for your text. Something more subtle, like Garamond, should work better. A faint glow or stroke might also work better than a shadow in clarifying the text. If you are going to use Carpenter ICG, you might want to set it to Strong, if you haven't, but unbold it, and use Garamond or Arial or something similar for subtext.
Your work shows a lot of promise. I am hoping to see what you come up with in the future! Good job for a first time. ^^
Oh, the picture is very nice, and I love purple but I don't like the pink in the right corner... and I think the text would be better in black... but it's only my opinion and I would't be able to make a "first wallpaper" as nice as this is.
