This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
@Damo: Well when I click on it to sign it in, it takes a while to load and then a message appears saying "click troubleshoot and we'll repair the problem" Doesn't tell me what the problem is after.

Ok... I was just playing around with Photoshop, after 2 weeks without my dearest PC, and it turned out like this. I don't think it's great, but I guess it's worth sharing. Now that I think about it, it looks like the cover of Ayumi Hamasaki's single, Carols... oh well!
I'll do a better version of this when school finishes, maybe :x
By the way! I need suggestions for that text... In the beggining I was planning to put there a comet or something, but it didn't fit. So, any ideias for that space?
I looved the sky, all of those colors are sooo sweet, and everything that is sweet reminds me of candy :p. But one thing, where does that rock come from? XDDDDD

I don't like how you placed the text right in the middle and Reika looks very grey. It would look a lot better if you'd enhanced her colours to match the rich hues of the sky. Which I love, by the way. Especially the brushwork-like clouds and gradient to a blue space from sunset.
The wall is extremely pretty; love the background! maybe it's just me, but the edges on the girl (can't remember her name!) ... mishima! seem sorta rough. other than that, it's a great wall.
Wooo...colors...sorry, I love colorful walls and the sky is really pretty. well done on that, but mayb add some of that brighter hue to reika cuz she looks rather dull and gray. the rock she's sitting on is kinda weird, sticking into the sky. and the text. you mite want to enlargen it and sharpen it bcuz rite now, it's kind of hard to read... still marvelling over the awesome combination of colors you put into the bg. wooo...

The sunset there is BEAUTIFUL! I love the concept of her sitting there alone. I always like her character design and looks even prettier against the sunset. Great job!!

But i think it has some prob, first i can't see your text and then the character seem so unreal and i feeling that your wall a little emty.

Well, I never saw a sunset (or sunrise?) so beautiful and colorful before. The background is really well made.
However, what bugs me is the CG. Apparently, you tried to modify the colors so the CG reflects the colors of the sky. But the CG is actually too bright, as if there was another powerful lightsource behind the "camera". (I don't know how to say it ^^;) Therefore, the scenery looks a little fake.
You should have increased the contrast between the side facing the sun and the side that should be in the shade. And also, you should have "tweaked" the drawn shadows accordingly.
