This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
@Damo: Well when I click on it to sign it in, it takes a while to load and then a message appears saying "click troubleshoot and we'll repair the problem" Doesn't tell me what the problem is after.

Ive been pretty slack but finally decided it was time i created a new wallpaper
this time i have gone with a Bleach theme
got the lads Toushirou,Kenpachi and Byakuga in this piece

originally i was going to put in hollows (gillians) as well but decided to not go ahead with it as ill use that particular scan for another piece ijm thinking about creating soon.
wanted to give this wallpaper a darker feel to it but wanted my main boys to stand out "in the darkness"
first time i have played around with lighting...i know its not crash hot but this is what i did
top left of piece is meant to be the light source and on each scan i tried to make the effect show the light hitting them from the top left while their body was getting darker towards the bottom light...dont know if i achieved that effect but hey it is my first time
i know im a novice at lighting but you have to start somewhere
any tips would be appreciated
i think the coloring of the sky came out ok in this piece whitish/pale yellow mixing into a yellowish/orange mist on ground level
other thing is i threw in a couple of trees to give it that dark creepy theme to it and added the birds circling in the sky as a final touch
hope you all like it any comments or critisism welcome

The color is quite charming,dark but not boring,I like the sky with beautiful clouds,and the moutains and trees in the distance ,the scan is good too,in the whole thw wall is awesome,it deserves a fav,keep it up!
Theres still the artifacting on the clothes of the scan and a few in the clouds, but overall nicely done. I think you could have worked on the lighting more, since their only source of light is the sun, yet they're still so bright... The text is also kinda bland. You kept their discriptions but killed the hollows >_< Eh I hope you encorperate them into another Bleach wall one day, since we have a lot of scenery walls, but little Hollow/Shinigami walls ^^;
I really like the background to your wallpaper ^O^ Looks so good! It just looks so coool!! >< And especially against the scans you chose!! *o*

Since the bkg is so good and looks so real, it doesn't go well together w/the scanned image...! heh, the bkg looks awesome though, and so does the cleaned up image.

Very nicely done. you did a great job with the scans, they're so clean, alittle bright but that's ok. i really like the colors, this wallpaper is dark but not too dark and the small details in the bg really give this wallpaper a nice splash so that it isn't boring but doesn't take away from the boys.

This is pretty impressive! I recall you were looking for background ideas in session zero, seems like you've managed to find something good! I like the dark atmosphere created by the colors, the cloud patterns, and the bare trees and circling birds. Nice work on that.
Just want to point out a little inconsistency - Hitsugaya has a different lighting from the other two - judging from the shadows, he is lit from the left, whereas Byakuya and Kenpachi are lit from the right. Very minor issue, hardly noticeable.
Besides that little bit, this wall rocks. Good job!
