This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Nah, I don't want new ones I need these ones to break in more. But my left thumb is really hurting right where the knuckle is >.< I guess I have some bad habits on my left hand.
I used a FLCL scan and then edited the colors to give it a nice little feel. Then I took the clouds and stretched them out to fit the width of the wallpaper. I took out the car and the wall because I didn't want the picture to be too busy. I kind of wanted it to be a little simple.
You did well with the simplicity, and the de-saturation is just right. It's a very calming picture. I'm not a fan of the font though. It's to, well, it doesn't fit with the mood at all.
:) Indeed, good job with the simplicity! Have to agree with Gideon about the text though, and I think I would've liked a bit more clouds on the left side to extend downward a bit more. Definitely a very soothing wall though... nicely done :)
The wallpaper looks like an old photo because of the nice color scheme. It really match the look on the character's face.
However, the text font you used doesn't fit at all! It looks too much like a computer system font or something. ^^;
You should have used something more sad/romantic like a writing.
I like this. its very simple, which is a good thing, but it also manages to stay very true to the original like it's been pulled straight from the anime. looks oldschool as well. very nice indeed.

Again, sepia colors really bring out the character and gives the painting a dreammy sense.
