After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
Gl with voting then Bantam and aki for counting those votes xD. Btw Bantam, in v6 vectors have an own submitting section, right? If so, can you comment on those?
This is surely one of the most creative wallpapers I've seen in a while. By vectoring and coloring a screenshot from the well-known FLCL, you'd expect to see the usual funky-colored style, but this time we have a result that really differs from original style of the anime but which still works incredibly well. Grey is the color that really dominates the whole wallpaper, giving it a metallic/smoked feeling which fits really well those techy-kind of windows themes that are very common among users. The text is well fused with the wallpaper itself making absolutely not disturbing and bothersome. One thing that maybe could have worked and improved this wallpaper was probably to try and add a very slight hint of brushed metal textures to certain areas, but nonetheless overall it is still an impressive job.
This was one that I've been working on for a while after wanting to try something different. It's yet another screen capture (and very painful v_v) vector from FLCL episode 1. It can be found here.
This scene particularly stood out to me as I have always admired Rickenbacker's line of awesome-tone basses (as I am a bass player myself). They're pretty much known worldwide as the staple of American music (along with Fender) from the 60's thru the 80's (which is probably why GAINAX decided that they would use it :P).
I moderately based the Haruka vector on the screenshot (you'll notice some differences, most notably, the absence of the strap and lock), and then vectored the background from some stock images that I collaged together. If I forgot to mention before, the vector took a long time. :P
After coloring, I brushed and lightly shaded the edges with the brush and smudge tool to get that messy/vintage look. Lots of work, but the important thing is... I'm still alive! ^_^
Edit: Hmm, for some reason, it says that the resolution is 1280 by 1280, when it's 1280 by 960. *shrug*
Cool work! Very nice vector i like very much the colors although i would like an intense blue for the guitar . . . i like the grey colors though . . . thank you very much for sharing it. Keep up the good work. :D
Lovely perspective and a great wallpaper. The vector is really well shaded, and although it's complicated, it still maintains the simplicity of a vector (sorry if that sentence didn't make any sense). I'm not a fan of FLCL, I don't like guitars, but this has to go in my favourites list because it's so damn good.
Thanks for sharing. Long may you continue to make such fantastic wallpapers!
The view's angle is uncommon, a refreshing difference. I like how it seems to feature the guitar and haruko's metal cuff with chain link. It seems to point out all the things about her that we can gather from the anime while reminding us that there is more to her.
I love this! the angle it's at is something i've never seen in a wall before. it's very different, but in a good way. excellent depiction of haruko and her bass. ^__^
