This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Hmmm, this is the first wallpaper i have submitted to AP...o_o..actually i am really happy on how the clouds came out and the bg..^^...i thought blurring the birds would make it look okay..and the outcome of it i think it is okay..XD...hmm i change the resolution of this wall to 1600X1200 for people who has an larger monitor..^^...so i hope it wont cause any problems..=P.so heres my frist wall i submitted...enjoy!!..
Everything in your wall is so pretty except for the text area =[
It's a really great wall too. I'd seriously consider spending a little more time on that top left corner. To start with, I think you need to lose the drop shadow effect... it makes the image 'bellow' the text look flat.
Besides that top left corner though I really like it. The colours are nice and warm, and the saber fits in with the background well.
I do not want to seem harsh, but what have you done beside flipping the scan over and adding default bird brushes, text "fate stay night" on it?
I seriously do not see much difference.
Nice wallie, the background look really nice with beautifull colour that really fit the wallie, the effects also look very good, especially the lighting of this wallie, the scan also look very nice, it's really clean and smooth, the only think that I think doesn't look good in this wallpaper is the text, the text doesn't match with the wallpaper at all, but still the wallpaper is really looking good. Great job and thank you for sharing

Pretty kawaii. Nice BG + i like the character, from the scan. I kinda feel a bit excited too, cause im in the middle of my first one. +FAV is for shure.

I was already thinking that it was suspicious as his first. He writes "on AP" though, which hints previous experience. Either way, he didn't create the background.
In my opinion, the birds are okay, they do match in with the overall scene. I do have a little problem with the text though. It looks like it was just placed above the image. The drop shadow you used really emphises this point. Although you did do something a little creative with the placement of the text, the font itself adds little to the overall composure of the piece. The slash character's colouring is too close to the background colour in my opinion, it's only definition is the drop shadow. Sorry.
Im going to have to go with omnidevil here... even though it is your first wallpaper, it doesnt seem like you did much, i would suggest maybe having done more to change the saturation of the wallpaper, maybe add some more detail to the backround, and things of that sort, as for the text, the drop shadow doesnt go well on that type of bacround being that when you put a drop shadow there it conflicts with the angle of the wallpaper.
I like this wallpaper al lot. Her smile and the sunset, it's just beautiful.
The thing is, I think you really did yourself a disservice when you made those changes to up the size. It is nice to have that larger expanse of sky, it's true. The layout, from a purely graphics design standpoint, was improved. But the editing you used to get it there is just too obvious. Those three clouds under the title especially, look like cut and pastes. The other three clouds in the bottom left also still look a little like clones, and the cloud transition above her head looks like it was done with just a little bit of smudge tool. It would also be a good improvement to give more attention to the text, right now it's just a drop-shadow.
I'd say either going down to a smaller size or spending a good deal more time on the background would be called for.
