This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
This one isn't really original, i know. But since i love that scan, i had to wall it.. >__<
As you can see, i redrew the whole scan and that was kinda tough.
The clouds may look a bit weird at its full size, but the thumb looks okay. xDD
So you don't have to download the wallie, the thumb is enough.. *lalala* >D
This one is dedicated to Fuku. Thank you for being there for me. =3
W00t! I like it, no more grainy texture, this time, you put a better texture. =D Nice peaceful mood depicted, I actually calmed down looking at it. xD Lovely text, too. Crits...yea, the clouds...though it's still nice, could be better. ;D I'll fave this one.
Super work. The vector is flawless and the background is certainly well painted. You've also picked out a scene that is relevant to the series, which is somewhat rare to find in wallpapers. :) Nice work.
... :D Beautiful job Yina-chan The background is lovely and I love the colors >_< So wonderfully done :D You know already that the clouds are the only thing that needs work :3 But I just love the calm open atmosphere of this wall... gorgeous xD
I almost feel like i should be hearing the ending song from the anime when looking at this. RahXephon has beautiful imagery and you managed to copy that style. The colors are rich and vibrant and it's so calming. Beautiful~
Well it looks a bit like a crayon and wax illustration, something different to the CG and vector we usually see in anime artwork. I like the open expanse of sky and its blue that complements the sea down below... it's a nicely made wall in the end.
Awesome vectoring and the colors are just beautiful! I love the overall look of the wallpaper, giving it that kind of painted/colored pencil look. I like the texture that you used as well. It is very relaxing to see someone look over a cliffside, staring at the ocean. It just gives that... serene feeling. Beautiful work, as always.
I love how you redrew the scan...feels like a pastel drawing...very soft yet colorful
The clouds are a little straggly but it doesn't bother me much...the background fits so well with the scan in general.
An interesting choice of font combinations- I like the colors you chose for the text.
The dark outlines on the rock are a little too contrasty with the background, but overall the wall has a very peaceful feel.
One of the most original Rahxephon walls I've seen.
Lol
I wouldn't say the thumb is enough. The full wall is pretty cool. I love the crayon-texture effect it seems to have. The simplicity may seem off-putting at first, but it's also pleasant in its own way. My favorite part in this wall was the text - very nice touch!
Wah, you surely did a nice job repainting the scan. I'm glad it's not a poopy wallpaper with horrible texture whoring and stuff, couse it could have been looking at the thumb XD
I really like what you did to the rock :3
Omfg... ive always wanted to see that painting as a wallpaper
i cant believe its finally been made...
i can see you tried to make it like painting with the textures
i like the hand-writting, it really matches well

I love this scan too, and was so hapy to it turned into a wall.

Have a nice day!
If religion is that which binds men to one another, and irreligion that which sunders, then must I testify that I found the religion of my country in its musical genius and its irreligion in its churches and drawing rooms.

Can really feel the 'blowing wind' and calm feelings of it.
Title fits perfectly and so does everything else.
