This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Well, when I first saw this scan I knew I had to wall it. The problem was that I didn't know what to do with it! =O So after tweaking with 3 diff bgs, I finally came up with this one. This one is pretty close to the original idea, so I guess it's not that much of a failure. The positioning of everything was actually the hardest thing to do in this wall. I had to include the focus point, balance, repitition and such (for once). The text is a bit weird since I suck at it. ah well, here's the wall. The shadowing was also a bit awkward since the perspective is...messed XD Screw that. I'm done with this wall. w00p!

Very nice simple wall with just a enough negative space to put my icons. I especially like the text. (It just fits well with the background although the Nerv insignia I could do without.)
You love shadows, don't ya? I do too, especially these! It gives the wall a lot more depth and emotion. Aww little Shinji.. too bad his life got screwed up later on. >.> Text isn't too bad, it blends well, but it definetely looks out of place. I'd rather you put it in the form of street markings or something of that sort. Just play with perspective and place textures on the text similar to the road and it'll be easy breezy!

Great wall, but I'd say the scan looks a little low quality, I think you should've vectored it, or at least re-cg it. well, I guess there's nothing else i can say about this wall. +fav :) Keep up the awesome walling!

I agree with most of the poters. The shadowing is wery well done and it gives it more depth and emotion. The feathers are a nice touch as well like they are looking at an angel. But I think the scan should be vectored for a clean look. Overall, this is a great concept. Great wall.

It is such a warm wall, compare to the other usual miserable ones of Eva ^_^ and I really like your idea...reaching towards the angels...but if the background is something brighter, it will be even better. nonetheless, i like this very much ^_^
This is a wonderful wall. My only criticism would be that I think the shadow on Shinji's face is a little misplaced. Otherwise a great job, I can see you put a lot of time into this. Keep it up ;)
