This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Actually, thats a lie. i'm not a huge fan of this wall, but i figured, why the hell not.
originally, this was supposed to be shinn, on a stage, with back-up dancers because his pose just SCREAMS vogue. i decided against it though cause i like shinn and he's just too cute and full of angst. so after that i had no idea what i wanted to do, and was just looking through some stock photos, and it evolved from a hallway, to a hallway with streaks of light, to a burning hallway with streaks of light.
my next GSD wall won't involve shinn and fire. promise!
The flames go really well with the image of Shin you used. I haven't really seen the series yet, but based on the little I've seen and most of what I read, it seems to suit him very nicely ^_^ Good job XD
-O- nice wall! love it. yeah i agree with bugmenot that the triangular flame thingies dont fit with the rest of it but the coolness of this wall makes up 4 it a hundred times and more! Shin's cool. (but the right arms looks weird close up)

Uwwaaa. This is an awesome wallie. xD I love how he suports the background, rather than the other way around. He doesn't get overshadowed by what you did with the hallway and the flames, but moreso that he overshadows them. It's a very cool wallpaper. I also like how the font isn't just stark and glaring, but faded and... there. xD Very cool. You don't detract from the main part of the wallpaper, which is Shinn. I give it a thumbs up. ;D
Very well done. i love the flames and the darkness, however not too dark. i haven't seen the series but it all seems to fit the character. sorry have to say this... welcome to the fires of hell.

Love the almost liquid-like appearance of the flames, love the geometry of the layout, and most of all I love the quote; it makes the wallpaper. The quote fits the character, nuff said.
