Our highschools have their own "specialty programs" the school i went to was a communications technology school, we had all the "fancy" technology stuff. Such as advanced computer classes and equipment. This year we got brand new computers.
Of all the character designs in Gankutsuou, Haydee is by far my most favorite. There's something about her elfin beauty, her shimmering glamorous dresses, and her floral hair that makes me wish I could be her...without all that ugly past. I've been wanting to make a wallpaper with Haydee playing her harp in a Greco-Roman rotunda for ages, and finally found a good image from Gankutsuou Complete. Although I was disappointed at the small size of pictures in the illustration gallery, that's when tracing really shows its potential. I had fun using a lot of images from the official website to pattern Haydee, along with a few floral patterns of my own.
The background is a combination of stock and drawing; the ocean and sky, plus the birds, come from several stock photos, as well as the top of the columns. The rest of the rotunda and the bush were drawn in Photoshop. Textures, well, I love texturing. Too much, probably. Oh well.

I really like this piece. Has a vintage quality, while maintaining a level of detail that I think many should aspire to. The colors work well together and the figure is distinct but flows well with the background. Great Job =)
This wall is really amazing, I like how you combined the vibrant character image with the quiet and subdued background. The gazebo and the birds look particularly excellent. Overall it's beautufil, I can't think of anything to complain about.
Love the texture. the right side of the wallpaper isn't too busy which helps to give the impression of tranquility plus the birds helps to balance the wallpaper. great job tama.
This wall is splendid and has an overall tranquil feel to it. I really like the textures that you used. Her floral pattern colors really stands out from the background that has shades of brown. Nothing else to say except that it's beautiful and I love it.
This is really a high quality wallie... was the scan you used just the character or including the little shelter? Cuz you did a great job... everything is nicely balanced out plus you added such a brillant texture to your wallpaper to gif it a nice 'artistic' look. My 1st immpression was some painting in a museum ^.^

Very different from anything I've seen..I like the way that you kept it simple and didn't use flashy effect, and yet it is still so beautiful and artistic!
As I've told you, I really like this wallpaper and the way it is pieced together, textures and colours go well, they're soft and convey a very calm and relaxed feeling that helps the viewer getting in the "mood" of the whole scene. thumbs up!
