This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
This wallpaper took me about 9 hours to make. I had attemped to make this once before but I couldn't get the outcome that I wanted... My sisters gave me some suggestions and then I finished it. Baisicly I I used two different scans for this wall.
The first was of Sora:
I cropped him and then made a black version of that crop.
The second was the land masses:
It is a scan that contained the hills, the pumpkins, and the tomb stones.
I made the fog on the ground with a soft brush, and made it look like the tomb stones were actualy in the fog. I also made the moon and the Heartless from scratch. The sky was from the gradient tool and the stars were from a brush. I added a shadow on Sora to make it look like he had the moon shining behind him.
That's about it.... I know it's not fantastic but I love it!! ^-^
Oh wow this is a great Sora wall. my favorite part is the pumpkins. they look so cute to me! :D and yes, as a previous commenter mentioned above, it reminds me very much of tim burton's a nightmare before christmas. it has that same feel to it. all in all, great job. :D
Sweet! i remember that basic curl thing from "nightmare before Christmas"!
i really like the whole thing, the pumpkins and the sora silhouet is awesome!!

one thing: you should have used more than just one heartless shape. XP its pretty obviously a copy+paste thing.
Hmm, a great wallpaper, simple(it isn't really simple) and eye-catching..
I must say sora's shadow looks somewhat too solid... It'll be better if it
the shadow has a little soft feeling on where the moon shone on Sora's
shoulder I guess. Anyhow, it is definitely a great wall. Good job.
