This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Aaaah a fresh breeze of inspiration and some good material and this popped out,
I liked the scan that was posted by Yanzi straight, away the simplicity and the wires overall.
first even had the idea of makin it a white wallpaper with just a line and some brushes, then decided to do this.
Took like a hell of a load of brushes to get that part on the left good enough but im quite satisfied with it.
Needed also to clear out some of the material under the scan so that the scan looked better and stood out more
I know its a bit dark and orange but yeah it was the best imo and like someone noticed: i like orange (duhh im dutch =P )
but yeah and for the title every time i saw the image i was reminded of a tune by muze called plug in baby, a small part of the lyrics are:

Crucifies my enemies
When I'm tired of giving

In unbroken virgin realities
Is tired of living
As for the visualisation behind the image, i see it as a net-data-stream ore something like it with our lady sitting on it acting like a guard ore a soldier on the net.

Nice wp! i really like your choice of scan, it's different than what i usually see. the colors are great and the bg is very effective with this scan :)
Very nice wallpaper here, love the style of techno, unlike others you used intense red and orange that makes it very very cool. Normally people prefer blue or green when it comes to GITS. This one is unique.
A good job I say. Needs a little more clarity, but for what it is, it is good.

My only comment on this is that you need to save it with your quality settings a little higher. There is very obvious artifacting in this version. Besides that, nice wall.
I like this cause I think that the major is freaking hot and she makes any wallpaper great! ^-^ I also think that you did good on the name! I know I'm plugded into her! (I'm not trying to be grose)

Its really cool how you integrated machines into people, i know thats what the main thing about the show, but you usually dont see that many wires coming out of them, just from the neck. it looks really good. kudos.
I really like your choice of colors. You don't see those colors very often on the show. The Colors shift over very well and the Drawing itself is excellent. The attention to detail itself is excellent too.
