This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
This wallpaper is nothing much to say about it, I was working on some sigs which make me use all sorts of blending and I created something out of an experimental step. Yet, again, I created a wall of an unnamed character from one of the Megami Magazine scans I found on the net, hence why I am submitting it here. I seriously just wanted to share it. I am not too sure of which category to go to. Sorry.
anyway, time wise, this took from the sig to be transferred into an actual wall took around a week, of blending and experinmenting, hence the "devildude effect" or something to that extent is born. The rage of colors are from altered stock photos of 3D renders and stuff and also rendered difference clouds. Set again, by blending to get the effect. I am not too sure how I eventually got to this stage of effects but lets say I am lucky. I will be backstepping to see what have gave me this wallpaper's general effects.
Anyway, I am glad to be finally submitting this as it took a lot out of me.
I hope you all enjoy it as much as I enjoy experinmenting with it. I do not expect a lot of people to like it. Just that, well, you all were asking if I am gonna make a new wall without all the shapes I usually used, so I say yeah, why not. I failed that, so back to PaulW. brushes again. Thanks to Paul W. again.

Hmm new style from you. Personally I think this sort of brushing should have stayed as a sig. XD It's interesting, but I can't really make out anything in the mess. Even so, the blending is nice. ^^
Its been a while since I saw a wallpaper that was this eye catching. I love the combination of the bright warm colors in front and the cooler shades in the back. Very nice balance, especially with the unique abstract shapes and textures its very refreshing. The character's pose suites the whole scheme perfectly. ^^ great work! A Definate fav for me
I may not know too much about this series or the characters...but this wallpaper is very cute and sexy, the usage of the colors and designs are really amazing...with all the different effects used to do the background, the wall has a real fluid lokk to this.

Even though you intended your colors to be bright!
You could lower down the sautration just a bit only.
I can see awefully alot of jaggy lines on her Blackoutline.
But overall; a good wallpaper.
The edges aren't smooth in a lot of places, not just on her, and that bothers me a bit. I love the use of colour though, and the otherwise seamless blending.
You sad, everyone should write a comment or... (see in you userpage :D ). Ok, I will write a comment. The scan is not really my type, still cute. But the colors and the bg is amaizing! Very nice work! :) It gives some summer feeling :)

the shapes and the colors are the jewels of this work... they surely gives that happy, colourful look to the entire wall.
Hmmm.. unfortunately the lower part seems to be a bit overbrightened... and the bg details aren't preserved too much... maybe it'll work best if I put my desktop icons along the lower parts, since they would be nicely visible at all. :)
My new desktop wallpaper ... because I love this one a lot.
