This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
About the wall, it's the second time of my life that I finish a vector! (it's a miracle!) I was a bit affraid because it was the first time that I try to vector a pix from a manga scan, I'm glad how it turned out even though the darken parts of the shirt were a pain in the a**! I had to smudge them a bit...Hope you won't find it too crappy, it's only my second-finished-vector But tips are always welcomed and even more than welcomed :)
The background, I had a precised idea of what I wanted and I'm too quite happy of the result, I didn't wanted "a sky only" background and the clock texture found on tama's site was just perfect and fits so well to the idea of the manga that I have : always running against the time. I could have call this wall "Time is running out" (especially that I love this song) but I found the english title of the Huxley book and...another thing which could fit perfectly to the serie, hope it's the same for you...:)
I know this isn't a dark wallpaper for those for like the serie because of this atmosphere, so I'm sorry.
It's rare that I don't make a wallpaper in a feeling of hurry and wanting absolutely to be posted (call me crazy), even though I never made a wall in less that 6/7 hours...I took my time to do it, and it's good like that!
What more? Raito is way creeepy! But Misa is creepier OX I prefer L and his behavior when he's thinking with all his brain (L toes are luuuuv) ;)
Amazing wp! very fluffy ;P the coloring is perfect, nice and soothing. you did a really good job for your second vector. it's alittle too transparent i feel but the bg is great, i like the subdle detail. great work! :)
Wow, very well done. A vector with not a vector feel to it. I like it very much. Not to mention Light Yagami being there I don't really like how the color of orange and blue suddenly blend together, but I still like this wallpaper very much, great job!
This is very nice. Though you could have contrasted a bit the character and the background, so the character would get more "attention" It just feels like the blackground and the character blend together, which is a nice thing for some, but my opinion is I would like to see it more contrast.
Wow, I must say it's a really beautiful wall. And I don't think the vectoring are crappy at all. Really awesome vectoring. I like the style how it's clean and soft in some way. Even though I'm not a death note manga reader I like the brightness of the wallpaper. "A brave new world", that's a fitting title for such a bright wallpaper :).

This wallpaper from Deah Note is very unique and rare. The textures are very detailed and might be a little too much, but it has good quality. The background looks very bright and has a nice combination of yellow, red, and orange. But I think a more darker background would go with the character more. Other than that, the wallpaper looks clean and simple, yet is complex. Keep this work and effort, llilliathari!
Whoa this is a vector?...damn this is very good it almost looks like a pastel paining or somthing done in watercolor...the colors are truly what catches the eye of anyone who veiws this site...this definitly a wallpaper the deserves to recognized.
This is simply amazing- I deeply admire and envy your vector skills and your artistic adn creative mind! :p I love the texture over the vector and the colors and shading.
