This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
I know this is an 'old' wallpaper that most likely a couple of people here already knows, but may I be damned if this didn't deserve to be highlighted. It's most likely one of the finest examples of tech/sci-fi wallpapers out there, as well as basically all of the stuff that SirBoingal0t has produced.
This is an example of real true skill and creativity, creating a whole tech environment from scratch, designing it, colouring it and adapting it so that scan and background become one. This what one can achieve with a bit of fantasy, dedication and determination. That's SirBoingal0t for you guys.

anyway....i remembered some of the comments...a long time ago....bout fixing the hair outline and whatnot....so I did.....then i realized......how crappy the scan was.......but then I remember ripping the scan off another wall lol.....so -_________-...I tried fixing it, but since idunno where the psd is.....I just fixed whatever I had......which is the jpg file from the site...blahrney!>_<
anyway...Ill probly be putting more old walls up......so my userpage wouldnt look so...........dead -_-
(plus....i need teh papers...nyahahaha >xD)
Awesome wally. The scan is kinda "ecchi", but really lovely and well drawn. I like the background too, it fits the pic perfectly. Keep up with your work. ^_^
Its always good to see anyone use Ugetsu's art for any wallpaper, but with this one you have chosen one of the best he has done in his artistic career...everything about this is really cool, the colors, the scan and the concept for this is really nice.
At first I was not interested because it's kind of echhi. But when I saw the full size I went..ZOMG! This wall is badd assss!! >XD The wall is awsome, great, incredible, amazing, lovwly, wnjoyfull, & everything blends well!! XD The character is pretty but I hate her cuz' of her disgusting clothes. XP Is she a robot or something? Wierd. :P The bg is incredible for sure!! O.O How did you make the mechass??!! No wonder Tate's fav wal is the Fog of War one!! Amazing job! +favsss! I really like this wallpaper. I'll start with the HOT scan. She is very hot and would look good in most wallpapers even if the wallpaper was crap she would stand out and make me say HEY!! ^-^ This wallpaper is quite interesting I think it really does fit her. The wallpaper has good textures and the wall on the left is very good. I give this wallpaper an 8/10 and a Favorites! I really does deserve to be highlighted!
I believe that her sines are a little great. I do not like much scan, but if this as highlighted must be by something... in short, good work. I kill myself doing walls and they do not let raise them to me and then I am with this 8(
Nice wallie, the background looking really nice and the colour also looking really beautiful, but I don't really understand what the background is ( the only thing that I see is some weird buildings ), but it fits with the scan, the scan also look really beautiful, and it's also clean and nice. Great job and thank you for sharing
This is just great love the anime charachter and very pretty scan indeed. The one thing I really like about it is all the little tech bts all over the place. Really great stuff, the only thing that dos not sit right with me is the black outlines, witch I think could have been a little thinner. But still love this wallpaper, and this is going into my favorites.
