This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
What can I say other then wow? This wall is so different and eye-catching the instant I saw it I knew It had to be highlighted. This is the first time I have ever seen someone take a soft shaded scan and turn it into a realist and detailed vector. That alone separates this wall from all the others that I have seen here and sets a new standard when it comes to vectoring. The blend of different elements, shapes, and colors really sets this wall apart making it both a unique and refreshing wall. The fantasy like background is well thought out and quite interesting to study. It’s rather obvious that a lot time and work was put into
this wall making it well worth taking a look at.
I'm really happy to have been one of the lucky people who got to know you better fairly recently. Apart from being one of my favorite wallers of all time (I get so inspired by you lol) you've been a really wonderful friend... Ahh, I love you. Marry me lol XD
Anyways about this wall... I started it yesterday and then vectored for almost... 10-11 hours straight today? Yes, I am insane. I thought of this as my redemption wall because my last couple of walls sucked, and the last one especially caused a ridiculous amount of pain and depression (for a wall)... getting to the point where I hated it so much that I couldn't use it afterwards really bothered me, and *buries it away in the depths of my external HD*... I realize that I stopped making walls for myself again, so I holed up for this one, and hope that this will also a personal reminder to not to forget some things... >D And, this is also a personal wall in that, as a college senior now and working through job interviews, etc. it's kind of scary to think about "real life in the real world"... wondering where to go from here?
I somehow got the inspiration for this entire wall when I saw this wall xD The style is also heavily inspired by j3concepts, who is absolute love!! He's another person who I wouldn't mind marrying, actually... his sexy vectors rock my desktop so >XD I also got inspiration from this wall, and also the recurring cityscape that crap uses in his walls... they look so damn nice all the time xD
Hot dood vectored from this scan, the rest of the objects referenced-vectored off stock photos from stock.xchng. That tree in particular... in the end I was going crazy with the pen tool, I don't think I've ever had this much fun in Illustrator before xD
Lastly much love to crap for being my quality check test subject for this wall xD

There isn't much more I can say that hasn't already been said before other than that its
tone and style reminds me of a piece of art work posted on Mess Studio's (http://www.messs.cc/)

My all- time favourite in all 15 the minutes that I've been here.
Uhm, here goes nothing. This comment came from a real moron in vectoring
world, and I guess you shouldn't put this much onto your mind.
Ok, the problem is... I really, honestly, do not know what is it that... Actually
makes this whole wallpaper a hmm, legendary piece?
I do admit that the concept and the positioning of this wallpaper is really
unique and needed to be praised. But then again, I guess I'm just not
a fan of this...
Nevermind that, but I do frankly think this is a great wall, but not really
my favorite because I'm some idiotic who don't recognize great art...
(Even after reading WhiteBlaze's comment on the highlight section again
and again, I don't really get it, but I do know that you put on a lot of
time in this wallpaper.)
Nevertheless, a really original uh, genuine concept of yours, I somehow
see why is it highlighted, though I do not understand why... Confusing...
Yes, but I think it may be my sleepiness that's making me this way...
Good job though! Definitely one impressive wallpaper.
To be honest, i think that the tree in the green window on the middle of the wallpaper is a too big break with the rest of the wallpaper. (Maybe it's juste too green but it's just my opinion anyway. xD )
Other than that, i really love the overall style and originality of the wallpaper.
Great job.
Holy wow i like this wall a LOT!! it has something that most walls don't have something that i really like--and it's originality. i thank you for making this wall and for that you've just inspired me to keep on going. thanks again and keep up the omega work. good job!>>=-)
