This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Finally...how many hours I ve spend on this; I can't calculate now. But a lot.
I had a thing for this scan since I first seen this which is at the beginning of last year. But I couldn't been able to find it till now. It's original, definitely moody and funky.
The quality of the original was lacking so I decided to make a vectorout of this; for the first time. I ve done linearts and played a little on PS but this was my first time using illustrator. Well...my masters say it's quite nice for a first so I am proud.
Ahem; as for the composition. It's totally random xD (ORLY?!) I realized that I have no plan to complete the vector when I finished it. Soo...randomness with just a little atmospheric =P
Anyways; people who watched one piece ll recognize the scene and the recklessness so I am not describing anything. I would like to thank and give much love for Gid and Tate for assisting me. Their ideas and suggestions were most helpful. Now it's time to go back to work -_-
This wall is pretty awsome, it totally caught my eye while i was looking though other walls and when I got a good look at it i liked what i saw. the colors are bright and go together and even though it looks like he is going to punch someone you came out with a good wall.
One Piece! *huggles* Definitely one of the best One Piece wallpaper I've seen. I like the "recklessness" of the whole wallpaper since Luffy is just so full of it and that's why we love him ^^ The colours are just brillant, matches so well together. Great vector too! The lines are slick and clean, look at those waves! Just love it XD All those hours paid off, this is an awesome wallpaper!
I love the way you did the bckgrnd!
the whole wall gives you a warm and fresh sensation
it also gives the impression of a kind of unstable but fine design
I'm taking it!
I really like this wallpaper. Love the colors, tectures, and choice of scan. Great job! Love the style, nice usage of the gradient tool on the back ground. the drop shadow makes it look like a pop-up book i like those black and white splats, well matched I'd have to say the sun/cloud background is the best part
Loving the vectored background of the wall! Great composition and diggin the concept! The textures and even the color fits in very well with the wall! Great work! Hope to see more!
