This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
This was my first vector. The original was a screen shot from the Blame! OVA. If you're saying to yourself "Killy doesn't have red hair/jacket", the scene was saturated with red light (like from the panel in the top left of the wall) and i liked the look. I wanted to keep the background true to the anime so i did a simple vector of that as well. And finally I also did a vector of the logo.
It's not as smooth as the greatest vectors out there but I kinda like it that way.
This is a very unique and cool vector art from Blame!. The vectoring was very simple and clean, yet very complex and hard. It was a very good vector for your first one. The quality was high and the textures was good. Very nice shade of red, black, and orange. Keep this work and effort up!
What can i say? i agree to anything written above, exept the statement, that the wallpaper is boring. i like it a lot, but that little red spot (around killy's right ear) seems a little out of place
The character, the background, the light and the text all fit perfectly together.
It is a really good and sharp vectoring. When you push your observation a little farther, you can see that the letters are not as good as they could be. It can easily and rapidly be corrected. I would have take the time to finish it. However, overall the wallpaper is so great that you forget this insignificant detail! ;)
You made an excellent choice of scene. It follows the spirit of "Blame!".
