Sitting at my desk, twittling my thumbs, and praying that something will magically happen and all my work will be done for the night... Long and drawn out right? :S

I finished re installing my zip drive and in one of the disks i found this picture, along with my very old wallpaper stuff, that i made when i first learning photoshop.
A very old stuff that i wished i could redraw back then.
I now have the skills to redraw it.
Originally created by Solo girl, a friend of mine, back in early 1999, just when i about to leave to Canada.
She used stylus to make the scenery of the girl walking on water holding a piece of cloth.
( actually our very first time seeing a stylus lolz )
The original art was about 500px wide and 800 px height.
The original thingy was once entered for some amateur digital art contest, and as i recall she won as the runner up.
I took it from there and set out to make a landscape version of the original wallpaper.
The right part of the screen, half of it were drawn manually using brush tool.
The sky, is mostly drawn using brush some part of it was copy pasted.
The city was mostly copy / pasted, and redrawn , given some effects to improve the overall focus of the screen.
The mountain is completely redrawn. on the right side.
The whole picture then was touched a bit to remove artifacts due to resize.
I intended to use artsy font on it, but i decided later on to use a clean modern font as it is easier to read.
I dunno where Solo girl is now, but i'm sure misses her alot.
Oh well, perhaps this one done by her for me as a farewell gift, well i never knew the truth.
Wow... that's a pretty amazing scene all right ^_^ Love the perspective and pretty much everything else about it except for the clouds, which look messy and kinda out of focus?... it would definitely be a fav for me but for that.
i really like it, it's pretty good, but the re-cging is abit shady in my opinion, the clouds on the top-left seem abit....too dotty, maybe if you smooth if out they will look better?
other than that....i just feel like eating a lot...i hope you guys meet again...

I absolutely love the perspective. The wall on the whole looks rather like a painting than a picture, and that is an advantage for it. * I should print it and hang it on a frame off the wall :3 *^^ But,mabye there should've been a ripple where the girl's leg touches the water...:/
Anyway, nvm that very much, this wall is awsome,I will add it to my Favs. :D Thanks for shearing.And,..sorry about your friend...:(...
One word to descrive me reaction to seeing this wallpaper. WOW.
I love EVERYTHING about it. From the gorgeous, powerful sky, to the lush scenery in the background. I really like all the asorted textures of the image. I really need to point out how creative the clouds and clothe are, superb idea to blend those two together to create a strong flowing movement. And the perspective was a perfect way to incorporate even more of that. The water is also very well done. Overall, its just breathe taking, a MUST fav.
I really do love this wallpaper a lot. when youa sked if you could upload it, and then i saw it, i was floored. which...if you know me, doesn't happen very often.
(only other artwork to do that to me is evol's)
so i just wanted to tell you that. the city is a nice touch, and the clouds are beautiful.
i'm usually not one for obviously beautiful artwork, but this one is just
nice job complimenting the image kuman.
adding this to my favs.
I don't know what i say... it's very realistic and so cool ><
it's amazing and i want to keep it and use it too ^^
your job is very good and i like very much.
thanks for share good job ><b
usually i'm not a fan of this style in particular, but i am now. it's hard to believe it's original artwork.
this wall has a lot of passion in it, and that's what makes it one of the best damn walls i've ever seen. i'll use it as my desktop over and over again.
Well, since you're atleast giving credit to your friend I suppose it can stay (but this is an exception guys, we're still accepting ONLY wallpapers entirely drawn by you in the Original Art category, not stuff drawn by someone else).
That said, it's a good one as I told you earlier. My only small grip is that the clouds could slightly be shaped better than that, because the 'round brushes' strokes are really too clear and distinct.
The more time i look at this wall, the more i''m getting speechless >_<. A wonderful feeling of wind at everywhere. wonder how to make this wall, it looks like a greatly painting by an artist from 18th century XD *feel the freedom of wind* that's really kool. For a wallpaper, i donot like this one soo much though it bring to me nice feeling and the color is quite good ^O^. But as it looks like a painting XD that's great, seem like draw something to the sky lol.
keep it up ^^
That is amazingly wonderful. One of the most pretty and heart-warming wallies. It is not ypur regular vectored-clean-grungy-trendy wall but it is something different. So original. I love it. I am lost for words.
