After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
I actually did my first vector last week. I found out I enjoy painting more. Thats what im working on right now is painting something for a wall I have in the works.
It's that time again. time for another TATERS AND KALICO COLLAB!
this time, it's the oh so loveable Ed from Fullmetal Alchemist.
just an idea on what we did with this wall...that image of ed...completly vectored. the scan had feathers and crap and screw feathers we didn't want em. i'm so sick of feathers and stars (sorry shadow dude :P)
so anyways, everything in the wall was made from scratch..as usual with our collabs. it pretty much went like this...
taters: vectors all of ed but arm
Kalico: sexifies arm. adds red water dripping down arm and pools of red water on floor. draws transmutation circle and symbol
taters: sexifies wall and adds text
we're willing to do adjustments (because we know of a few errors ourselves)
anyways, this'll be up at pixelated graffiti sometime this weekend and fragments hopefully before the end of the world (but i wouldn't count on it �_�
so, enjoy the wall, or tear it apart :D
god knows we can handle it xD
okay, so basic idea and meaning behind the wall...cause we always have one...
btw...SPOILERS LIE AHEAD!
is Ed's laying on the transmutation circle used to refine the red water and make the philosophers stone, and he's surrounded by the red water...so...to make the philosophers stone you need people. live people. so, ed is sacraficing himself to make a philosophers stone. it's a metaphor for his journey.
man we're complicated lol.

When looking at this, somehow the feeling I got when I'm watching the anime comes back all of a sudden...
great feel and touch with those reddish accents.. and also with the red water effects...

Somehow, I think, if Ed was lying on the floor, there should be some visible shadows on the floor, but,.. ah well, the lighting setup is very much complicated as it is...

Schwoo. Bright pink, I like. There's some bizarro green in the corner, kind of out of place with all the warms colours. Blending fault? XD Anywho, love it.

Lovely work. The entire scene is awesome, as always. I love the scan of Ed also, it's just awesome. I always wanted to see a good wallpaper out of it, and I guess I goy my wish! Keep up the good work Kalico / Tatekane
It's a very powerful piece, I'm glad to see the final finished product. As always, you guys are talented and amazing and I'm in awe...the vectoring is beautiful and so is the backround.
ITs awesome. I love it. The colors all blend in well. Theres only one thing I'm going to complain about and its the pic of Ed. I think the vector is too clean. How about adding textures over him? I dont know... he's just too clean...

technical aspects of the wall are flawless...the fact that the scan doesnt look like a vectored image makes it special.
the subtle highlights, the way the circle goes through the liquid philosophers stone. Although it seems as though he seems to be standing up...I think he looks just as fine on the ground.
What sets it apart from other walls is that...it carries some weight....a meaning. Although...honestly I like the last wall more....this one comes a close second.
ohh...and great job on teh text >xD and teh red glooopy thingies coming down on him >xD

Well, this wall is just great! the texture that you adding at the side of the wall is just great! and nice background! it is match with the character! the character looks so cool in the wall too! and nice colour works for the wall!
