As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Do have a look at this beautiful wallpaper!

My latest work.
After two days of vector work, I have completed it finally.
Everything here is vector. Used the texture-mixing technique to get the feeling of the background.
The design idea of the wall is to express the feeling of the anime. Because I haven't used any screenshot, there is some difficulties in expressing the feeling well. So I have to try and the result I get, I can only say, is not bad.
The signs in the background, is the symbol(or simple expression)of 彼岸花(Sorry, I don't know the english name of this kind of flower.), which is the symbol of hell in Japan (These flowers only live on the banks of the San-tu river(三途河), which connects the human world and the hell in Japan's Culture).
By the way, I have made this wall originally for my dual monitor. So the original size of the desktop is 2560*1024. Another side (beside what you see on this wall) is the expansion of the background.

I love the red&black, the flowers, and the girl. I like how the girl is black&white except the red eyes. I really like everything about the wall except the red eyes.. Not so much the color (I actually like it red) but how it looks.. I am no artist, but it looks like it's glowing to much..@_@ But it's just my personal opinion.
So except the glowing part of the eyes, I love everything else!

Good, simple and pretty scan. Very nice work with vectoring^^. The colours of the wallpaper are great, I like the contrast and the red colours. The background is pretty simple too but it goes well with the scan and I love the background flowers ;)
