This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
I loved this piece. Its the day of my last final, and coming out of that test I felt the need to release all my pent up energies into something. And here it is!
I changed her coloring in her hair because I thought her color scheme was too one-dimensional. I made her a little more 'punk' by adding some purple highlights. I also messed with the colors of her dress and made her wings partially seethru.
The background is pretty standard, I tried some new gradient blending techniques but I ended up being satisfied with a simple pink screened over radial blurred clouds.
I also put some text in. I usually never put text in as it drives me insane.
But, I put it in here, since im making these wallpapers for you guys and not for me.
I like it a lot, except. She's not from Card Captor Sakura. She's definetly drawn by CLAMP though. Judging from her chest size, she's probably from a one-shot.
I'm ok with the letters, the lines around 'Candy' annoy me a bit though.
I have the original pic of the character you used and I must say, what you've done with her is just beautiful. I like what you did with her hair and her wings. Very very nice. The background really suits her and so does the title! ^_^ *gives love*
They say to make your own breaks, but i'm not sure
