This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Sakura and Tomoyo caught in a summer rain on the way back from the store. I reallylike the way the rain and perspective came out. It was compiled in photoshop and the orginal scan was from Ferricorp's 2005 Sakura calander. Please enjoy!
I really love this wallpaper. You did a great job on the rain, the little puddles make it look almost real.. The characters are really cute. The colours you used look good together. Good job!
The water looks totally wrong. Why does the water run up the edge of the wall? Incase you haven't noticed ... water ... uh ... doesn't do that ¬_¬
The top of the water will always be pretty much flat because gravity's going to make it sink down. Even if it is a gully they are walking down, the water will run down to the middle, so you won't have puddles on the edges...
Having things that are so physically impossible makes your wall jarring to look at ... I have no idea how the other comment can say it looks peaceful ...
The concept is nice, but the execution bites ... doesn't look like you put much thought into it.
It's so cute! The water effects are indeed very realistic and well-design. I also like the background. It's almost like they are just taking a stroll out in nature, and it's creates a very calming affect on the viewer. (Like me) ^^ The puddles are amazing. Great job!
I think it's really good. i like it how its' clear and how it' looks special in some way. the only problem is that i think that madison's body seems too long. i dont' know why, it just does. but yeh, the rain looks very real and it's very effective. i like what you've done
Very interesting perspective. And the ripples on the ground are pretty good. I'd only have suggested making the colours of the background as vibrant as those on Sakura and Tomoyo - to make the whole wall look more cohesive and fit the mood...
Pretty nice. the fisheye lense is a bit over egsagerated though. also the layer of water seems thick maybe let a bit more grou <i.e. dirt, pavement, whatever> show through. they look like theyre walking on water. other than that i am happy to see 1 CCS paper that isn't sakura in a costume. kudos.
Really nice wall. I really like how serene and peaceful it is, and the original image is awesome. The only problem I have with it is that the water puddles look kind of flakey to me. I think you over did the puddles. Also, Sakura and Tomoyo kinda look like they are walking onto of the puddles as opposed to through them. Maybe some water splashing up would have made it look more realistic?
I actually like the electrical/techy looking water and water drops, but because of the techy feel, the top half and the bottom half of the bkg doesn't seem to match too well... and maybe too blurred? but thumbs up for using new images.. and not reusing the same sakura ones over and over and over.. and over.

-There are two kinds of people in this world, those who say I can and those who say I cannot. They are both correct, which one are you?

Because of his smile, I thought everything would be all right.
