This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Being a mecha fan and all, this wallpaper really catched my eye. Of course there are a lot more reasons why this wallpaper just had to be featured.
The moment I saw this wallpaper, even just its thumbnail, I thought it already looked awesome. Once I clicked to full view, boy, was I blown away. All the details, from surface the mecha is standing on to the battle in the background with all those airplanes flying around in the sky and the rockets shooting out into the sky. I can just stare at this wallpaper for hours looking for every single detail the waller managed to place in this wallpaper to acentuate the scan. The scan just fits right in. What I am most impressed with is the 3-D look the waller managed to give this wall.
I am sure anyone who view this wallpaper will feel the same, mecha fan or not.
Well...yeah havent made a wall for quite a while (I actually say that every time I make a wall ...but it never gets old so...I used it again >xD)...plus I did mention I was gonna spectate for a while @_@......just didnt know how long it took
well...tis ones another mech wall from a game called Steel Battalion....I actually played a little of it...it was pretty fun since my friend had teh giant mech controller thingi...but watever
anyway...I was probly inspired by front mission 4 and tate constantly annoying me to make a wallpaper -_-
tis wall was made in ps6....although I really think it woulda looked a lot better wit a 3d program of some sort....better shadows and what not, if only somebody can teach meh how to use one! LOL!......and yeah my LCD screen is kinda red, so...if teh colors are off......thats why, but tate said it was fine...sooo.......ill trust her on that.
I think teh hardest part of making tis wall was actually starting it....cuz I barely remember how to use photoshop lol @_@, so it took a couple of days. Im...pretty rusty at tis....and yeah many of the stuff Ive done here, ive done before. a lot of people say it is my bread and butter......and It is, but.....geez im just getting started, and this time around I made sure people can actually see it lol.

Best mecha wall ever! I'm more impressed with the ship design, shadding, modeling than the sky. The perspective and lighting is amazing. And the background tells another story compared to the foreground. So, much motion in this still wall. A lot of action in the scenery you don't know where to begin. Funny how the mecha is just 'chillin'. No one dare to mess with it so they go after little opponents, i.e. those airplanes in the background. Great work.

My only critique for the artist is that the ground is off-center with the mech's feet.
It's obviously the base image pasted and edited over a background, but I'm just nitpicking. Steel battalion is a mecha franchise involving industrial machinery and backwater jungle islands, and this wallpaper tells the story in one frame.
Damn, this look good. I'm no mecha fan, yet the metallic whitey theme, catch me. Guess I'll use as a wall when summer arrive :)) The mech look kinda off the place really, seeing how he position, and how the layout arranged. A very good wall still.
This wall is made of awesome and win. As I read the featured wallpaper comment, I thought, "nah... it can't be THAT good." But it is. It has so much depth on every level. The details put into every single bit of the wall made it top notch. There's oodles and oodles more praise where that came from, but I think I'll go back to starting at the wall! :p
