Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
I've spent a good couple hours on this one. It's bugged me through and through (many times have I found myself standing back and looking at the wallpaper from different angles). If I wasn't arguing to myself about the layout of the wallpaper, I was quarrelling with little things such as highlights. As I got near the end, I finally got to the point where I was starting to finally accept the product. The last obstacle that came into play, and may be seen as an oddity is the left side. Someone had suggested to me adding something along the left, and I did... but it came with no avail. Gaara's eyes were to strong and compelling on the viewer, and caught the immediate attention of the viewer way to quickly. When i placed an object of some sort to the left, it seemed to detract from that immediate attention to Gaara's eyes, so I felt it just crumbled the total effect of the wall paper.
I personally feel that when you view the wall paper at first glance, the viewer is immediatly drawn to Gaara eyes, and begins to move left in curiosity of what Gaara may be looking at. The aid of the lines behind Gaara also help to move the viewers eyes left.
This one may be a tricky one, hope you guys like it :D.

This is a nice wallpaper but i dont really like the black lines on the upper and lower part of the wallpaper... sorry but this is not the ideal wallpaper for me...but you did a great job dont get me wrong... :)
Wow, your right. His eyes caught my attention right away xD I think the black lines are too big. I love the background, it goes well with the scan of gaara. The colors for this wallpaper are amazing. I also like the text on his shirt. Very nicely done. For some reason, after looking at his eyes, i keep staring at his hair now. hehe, I guess it's because the red color stands out.
Oh gosh its so simple, and WOW its so cool, and very abstract looking at teh saim time. INCREDIBLE!! i love the bg i mean its so good, and matches the scan so very much!! and teh texture you have suits the whole image very GOOD!

I love the background and how you used light mellow colors since Gaara is so dark colored. I also like the way your picture is more elongated than the full square of the screen, it really adds a dramatic look to it.
This cg wall is nice, love how you have made the eyes, and the colour are very well choosen..
the bg is also nice and simple.. i just think that the texture you have used is a pain, it really make the wall not that good, so i think you should take it away..

The scan is very nice. The background - it´s very simple but colourful and I like it. The simplity really highlights the character but maybe it´s a little too simple still. I think the background should have some stronger coloured stripes or shapes but it´s only my opinion... The texture is awesome! I love it *_* And I like the way the background has so much light colours that go so well with each others. The golden text goes well with the character. The black parts of the wallpaper make me feel like I would be watching anime... very nice.
