As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Do have a look at this beautiful wallpaper!

Okay, so if you haven't watched Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni, this wallpaper is like, major spoilers ;D Still! I went with the theme of the original image, the girls imprisoned, and vectored the cell bars from the original image and then textured them so they'd fit better. I made the mossy rock walls and floor using masks and texture from papers I scanned. I did a lot of PS airbrushing to get the multi colored shades on the wall and the floor. And the blood stains are a bit exaggerated for dramatic effect.

At first glance this wallpaper kinda scares me with the other girls expression, i havent watched the show, but by seeing this wallpaper it makes me interested in the anime, so im downloading it right now...i love how this wallpaper is dark, the blood also looks really cool! great job!

This is a nice one good work with the chains and the rock it really looks like they are in there altough i don't like the drawing style i love this wallpaper.

Good scan and dramatic wallpaper. You have made very good work with the rock and the chains, I really like all those shadings and the dark colours. The blood effects are great, I think they look so realistic. I agree with blu3angl, I think the cell bars are a little askew...

Well well. I'd say you captured the grim atmosphere of that scene very well. I like the mossy rocks and chains in the background the best. The cell bars look great also. The light and shadowing used on Shion Mion looks very natural. Great work. Take care. +Fave
I like the gloomy sad effect that you created with the bg and emotions...it really fits the story's "real" theme. But one question...which one's shion and which one's mion lol?

Hahaha! Yeah I saw this episode...man what a shocker it was for her to go all out there. Too bad Keiichi had like 3 chances to dodge Mions attack even though he just stood there as the rock was slowing comming his way XD. Still really well done nat. Being a good fan of Mystery/Horror this goes into my favourite books as well onto the library of the other 10000+ anime walls ;). You take care nat good job.
Yay, more creepy Higurashi papers! I've been watching this anime and really like it. Anyway, I really like the mood of your wall, the only thing I'd consider is:
The perspective on the jailcell bars seems to be tilted a bit inward towards the girls instead of straight up and down and getting smaller at the angle.
The chains seem a little out of place with the background. I'm not saying they shouldn't be there, just that the coloring or lighting or something makes them not mesh exactly the same way against the wall.
Seeing this for the first time, made me cry!! lols well not really, but the feeling is there! loks soo sad but yet beautiful! great texturing and effects! Havent seen the series but this wallpaper sure is urging me to do so! Good job! favorite!
