This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
So, it's the end of the school year and I am supposed to be studying for my tests and packing my stuff ... and what I am I doing? Making wallpapers!
I am growing rather fond of making wallpapers from the angle of looking down at something. I really didn't intend to make that many of them, but somehow I keep falling for the scans. In this case I saw this scan of Yuki, and it hardly even needed to be edited! Just ready to use for whatever I decided to make, which ended up being 'Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi meets the Matrix'!
Things done: To say that I made everything from scratch is an understatement. All of the matrix stuff took so looong to make because they all had to be at different angles and perspectives. I went through a few drafts of this wallpaper trying to decide where to actually place the matrix bits. The original version just had them scattered throughout, which just didn't look right, so I ended up redoing it this way. My favorite part is probably the leaf, I am still marveling at how I managed to match it with the matrix.
This is quite nice! Th euse of the binary code as it dissolves into the rest of the wall was well done and fits the character just great. All of the elements in the wall look clean and well defined. The whole idea of the wall was well executed. Great job. +Fave Take care.
THATS GOOD! I like how you made the world seem like numbers a digits! great concept there! of course it is Yuki! I love this Suzumiya HAruhi wall! great! Scan is perfect for the background! great cg work on the bench and ground!! Love the leaf and the numbers hehe great stuff! favorites!

The scan is very nice but looks a little flat because of the realistic, very realistic background. The background is awesome, it´s so well made, I love the grass and the leaf... And the 10100100...-idea/texture ^^ The shadings are great.
Good work :)

This is a great looking wallpaper of nagato. You really detailed the wallpaper to it's finest. The title like on the ground with the cracks in between looks great. The bench, grass, and leaves looks really natural. I really like how you added the data like detail on the one side of the wallpaper consider she manupulate data.. The whole perspective of the wallpaper looks wonderful. Awsome job on the wallpaper. Keep up the good work.
The concept of the picture of weird as hell... but well, it's Yuki, I shouldn't be surprised, I guess :P
I like how the "digitalized enviroment" effect looks. In fact, I'm surprised because it's an original effect, and not something taken from Matrix or related things :P
Yuki is not my favorite character, but I admit this wallpaper is great. Nice job!
It's a very nice and well done wall. I have no problem with the bottom leaf but the top one and the grass seem a bit out of place. Love the digitalization of the elements at the bottom of the wall.
Do they have benches like those in Japan? Well, it's a very nice wallpaper. But some of the lighting like that glass pattern on the floor, with that lighting, doesn't really match with Yuki. You did a nice job, I can't even make wallpapers. :-(
Niiceeee wallpaper, is very harmonious, the picture of the girl is so beautiful and you add some amazing effects on the charatcer and the background that makes it have an impacting looking, i really like the matrix-like effect on the leave, thanks for sharing this freking cool wallpaper, i'm going to add it to one of my favourites wallpaper through the website, awesome job

Amazing scenic wallpaper. The leaf looks so real and you managed to give this 3D aspect to the matrix bits. Wonderful.
I would have made the bits a little darker, but that's only a question of taste.
I've got a new fav \o/
