This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
last wallpaper for quite a while! T^T i kno it was kinda rushed this one, but i tried to squeeze it in cuz im leaving for vacation today! sadly, no comp/photoshop for a while. :P
to the wall... ehh this one is from Voices of A Distant Star, and i thought it was such a touching love story. :P the title "Ano Toki..." means "That time..." which is kinda like them thinking back to that time when they were still together. >_< so nice. ;P
anyways, i kno that it looks kinda fuzzy and all but thas the way i want it to be. ^^;;;
another simple one, not much to it. just trying to beat the time. XP
ok then, cya everyone. be back in a while! [;
[edit] ahhhhhh, there seems to be some misunderstandins. T^T i never used a stock photo for the clouds. they were all brushed by me. --_____________-- just lettin ua kno.
The setting looks close to realistic, especially the clouds. It gives off a sense of melancholy, but at the same time a feeling of relief. Great use of brushing there ^^ But maybe the feathers that are at a nearer distance should have been a little more subtle? It doesn't lead you off the main path, but it could be less of distraction.
It creates this very nostalgic mood- but i do agree it's sad...
probably cos you see all those black feathers- a rather ominous sign and the white clouds seem to be dispersing into stormy weather.
but i think it's appropriate- hoshi no koe is rather bittersweet after all
This one caught my eyes when I looked at it. I like the 'fuzziness' of the foreground image actually. It kinda makes the whole thing look old, but the background is sharp, kinda neat. The feathers seem kinda out of place, but something needed to be in there I thought, so they fit nicely. They are also well done. The clouds are really well done. I didn't think they were a stock image, but they are pretty. The max resolution was kinda funny, but only because it's not mine
