As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Do have a look at this beautiful wallpaper!
For the group thing, I thinked I will wait for the v6 but if a lot of people ask for it, I guess I have no choice but to do it^^ To commemorate the SSS rating, the svg of my bakuman wall is on my last journal entry.Got to go doing teaching. See you later~
Ye mouton knows all ;) I am still a newbie with vectoring programs. In my journal is the progess so far for my Inkscape and AI project. The main difference I noticed so far is that in AI the pentool is editable at all times, in IS it is a different tool
Ctrl is useful when you want to control the angle of the vector. Shift is for asymmetric vector. You can combine the two also. One more thing, if you start an other path while pressing shift and that a former path is selected, the two will combined.
I only use ctrl for zooming, backspace I knew because it is the same in PS and AI. The shift and enter I didn't know, those are useful. I ended a path using right mouse on my last node
You have to finish the path to edit it with the node tool. You can finish a path by closing it up or by pressing enter. You can also go back in the path by pressing backspace. I also suggest you to try pressing shift and ctrl while using the Bezier tool^^
Well, its been quite a while sine I uploaded a wallpaper, or even made a wallpaper for that matter. But I'm back and I bring you my newest wallie. I have recently gotten back into Pokemon again. I feel a severe lack of Pokemon wallpapers, especially ones with Kasumi, who happens to be my favorite character, so I made one.
The wallpaper is of Kasumi/Misty in her mermaid outfit. I wanted to make it look like ahe was in the ocean, surrounded by rocks, and surrounded by, of course, Pokemon. You can't really have a pokemon wall without pokemon. I tried to make it look alittle mystical though, as to fit a little better with the wall itself.
The Picture of Kasumi was origionally a screencap pan from a Pokemon Housou special A.K.A. Pokemon Chronicals. Its was a very low quality image, so I completely redid the image using Adobe Photoshop 7.0. I used the pen tool to remake the outline. Its the first time I ever had to completely reconstruct an image to make it even remotely usable, so it didn't come out 100% perfect. The pokemon pictures are either scans from trading cards, pixles, or screencaps.
It may not be my best work, but I had a lot of fun making it. I would like to thank the people who responded to me in the anime paper session zero forum and helped me make this wall a little better. Its still not perfect, but I thank you all anyway. ^_^
The scans are very nice and cute but I think you should have put that texture/blue colour on Kasumi too. Some of the outlines around the characters are a little pixelated/unclean. The background is very pretty and well made, it goes so well with the scans. The bubbles are awesome :) The colours of the background are dark and lovely... Good work with shadings and re-drawings!
Pokemon!
Ha. I used to love those series so much.
Anyways, great wall. There's a bit too much blur and a bit much darkness,
but the wall is really really good.
Great job. (:
Its a very cute wall! could have uses a bit more brightness and a little light here and there, but overall I like the concept! keep up the good work! hope to see more from you!
Nice soft color style. Slight bit Grainy looking, and probably would have looked better with sharp bright colors, but still a rare Poketo Monsuta wall ;) Gotta DL'em all. :P Gonna give this a fave because I like it.
I don't even know why people gave you a C- for this. It's a really good wallpaper, and way better than I can do. You put a very nice vibe on it and you made me want to go swimming. Thanks a bunch for this awesome wallpaper its my myspace bg now ^^.
Hey, a Pokémon wallpaper! And a very brilliant one!
Not a Misty fan, but I must admit she looks pretty cute in her mermaid form :P The visual water effect looks very good, too, though the other graphical elements look too realistic for the pic. They don't look bad, but it loos overall strange :) Oh, and good to see Pokémons in the picture! Needs more Psyduck and Magikarp, though ;3
Wow this one is really cool. the background is very well done and the colors are the way they are supposed to be. It is a great wall, i just think that the lettering could be a little better, hey, but i'm no pro, so don't take my opinion too serious... :P
Nice! Finally a very good pokemon misty/kasumi wallpaper! This is really cute and very good! Thanks for sharinga and I hope you do more in the future! *adds to favs*

Very nice. ^_^ The pokemon swimming around her are adorable, though I think you should have added some of the bubbles and such on top of Misty, because it almost looks as if she's just pasted onto the background. You did a great job recreating the image though, I klnow I couldn't do that. :)

It's a pretty great job, man! Keep at it!
I agreed with you, Ari-chan. We NEED more Kasumi/Misty wallpaper xD
Although the characters in the wallpaper looks a bit unnatural in the underwater effect but the watercolor effect looks great.
A worthy wallpaper for any Kasumi/Misty fan
