Well, after being gone for quite a while (excuses are available :) ), I thought it was about time to get something up on AP. So, onward to the wall.

The concept for this wall was simple. I wanted to recreate the scene that I saw in my head when I looked at the original image of Rei, as well as the feeling. The image is a sketch from Groundwork Vol. 1 that I fell in love with (thanks to Josy for uploading it to AP). The original sketch is here:

You can see from the sketch that it looks like Rei's laying on rocks or the ground, which is what I tried to recreate here. I vectored the sketch, and then worked hard to become better at integrating the vector into the bg, something I've wanted to improve on. I went through many different scenarios of what to do with Rei, put something in her hand, make her looking at something, etc., but finally decided that part of the look on Rei's face was one of loneliness, and that adding something into the photo took away that feeling, so I left her alone.
