This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Techanacly yes you are. your asking people to go to a web site randomly. your not allowed to do it on the sb. but you can pm someone the site. (dont send it to me)
My boss's wife is from China and I heard in some cases they could barely understand each other, if at all, between villages... orally anyway, not sure about written.
** An entry for the Vectorness Challenge June 06 with cyberpunk/sci-fi theme **
After a long scan search journey, I can't help but to settle with this scan which is an interesting render of the Swordfish II Mono Racer - Spike's famous 'pink' aircraft from one of my all time favourite anime Cowboy Bebop.
The aircraft was fairly simple to vector and so were the elements in the backgrounds.
The biggest challenge was to keep the background simple and clean to keep the aircraft (or Spike XD) as the main focus of the wall - which is why I intentionally left the top left corner almost blank because it's already busy everywhere else. And took out a lot of small tech widgets on the background - too distracting.
Fully done in Illustrator, this is my first techy/futuristic wall but I think I will make more in the future because those tech widgets are actually really fun to make :)
Btw, ever wonder how a 'pink' aircraft can look so cool in anime? Enjoy! :)
Yep pink aircraft is just weird.but that's that.the round shapes at the background was a little odd tho, didnt match with the craft.try to put bigger image of spike, it might help filling the background up
NICE indeed. Since you said you took out some techy stuff in the bg, I'm thankful for that since the wallpaper looks good enough as it is. I liked how you arranged the elements -- they complement each other nicely and don't distract attention. Definately fave-ing this.

First impression : MONSTER KILL !
Really good contrast of the gray colours. Its ok this way but I feel if the bar plus the character occupies more of the wallpaper would be good too. Good job though ^_^
Very nice work with the coloring of the ship and the pentooling you did on the building and the brushing you did on the wallpaper and what not if you did pen tool and stuff.
Oh wow, monchi, just saw your wallpaper now. i love bebop, i love spike (in spite of the fact that he is a monumental fool for getting himself killed over a silly woman who friggin' ran away from everything) and i love your wallpaper. great job vectoring the swordfish, and i love the deisgn of the whole thing, clean and classy. the only complaint i have is that there isn't enough spike for me in the wall, but then it's nice to see something different every now and then.
