This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

the vector work on the machine thingie is really awesome, i don't know if you did it out of nothing or a stock but whatever it's awesome. I even find the machine vector more interesting than Ravey's.
My only complaint would be like highknees' one: a BG or something that would bring a scenic touch, but honestly NO BIG DEAL :p

It's been ages since I produced a wall, and even longer since my previous, but here's proof that I'm still here. XD
This was an idea I've had for a long time but never had the time to get to it, until recently that is...
I based the vector on animepaper's very own: http://www.animepaper.net/gallery/scans/Last-Exile/item12062/
and the rest of it and the background machine-thingy were just made up on the spot.
Brought it to photoshop to color/CG it up. I intentionally went for that 'dirty' look to help convey the atmosphere of this particular scene.
Total hours: a lot.
Total layers: a lot.
Total days spent procrastinating on the battleground challenge wallpaper: ∞
