Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
Using the term blue/red/etc magic is a bit awkward. I'd be incline to use Science/Nature/Magic/etc factions instead. Works better with Location cards. The term mana can be replaced by faction points.
While this while might not look too different from what I've done in the past, in reality it was a very odd experience for me in making it. I basically decided I'd do everything I don't normally do when making a scenery wall; different technique, same result. I basically wanted to create a 'vacation' feeling, like someone taking a photo during a stop at a tourist spot. The whole layout is trickier than it looks, it took me a while to figure out exactly what to do and where to put it all to give the wall a complete look. Enjoy!

The closest shrine is really excessively red and saturated. There's no hint of lighting/shading on it as well, but the main issue is that it's too unrealistically bright and saturated (with a color that is already bright on its own, red) to the point that it distracts the attention from Himawari.
In case you bother to fix that, the wallpaper would be perfectly fine. It's still a nice one overall though. :)

Good scan selection, she looks pretty cute. The background is good, though the flowers looks a bit more realistic than the cartoonish rest of the graphical elements. It doesn't look bad, but it's weird. :P
The scan is very good and adorable, I love it! Mokona ... The background has made with a similar style to the scan and that´s nice. The colours of the wallpaper are pretty and clean... and kind of bright, I like them too. The shading of the shrine far away is a little weird and it looks a little transparrent because of the cold colour, I think it should be edited but besides that the wallpaper is great :)
