Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

this was actually made longer for my dual desktop...i attempted to make it fit a standard 1600x frame without looking funny..does it?
i told myself that i would never touch my finished stuff..but on this one i kind of had to, ..i mean who else uses a 2080x resolution? while attempting to make it fit and such, i worked on teh color scheme a little bit because i wasnt satisfied with the current tan/orange/white/palette.... so now this one has more kool blue in it [which kool blue seems to be the hip color of summer 2006 for clothing] :D
well what can i say, i wanted to make more Noir wp, but i end up using the same styles as my old work [shame on me T_T] but i havent made anything ina while due various reasons
started out with gun fonts from HalfLife2 and CounterStrike [go look in your halflife2 or CS folder to find the fonts], then i distorted them..next thing you know, they start to take interesting shapes and no longer look like guns. HOORAAY~!
the rest kinda just falls into place...really funky colors+random txt=complete haha
i dont often use text in my pix...when text is in my works, its not really supposed to be read, i try to use it as part of the artwork layout itself...not to stand out like a title/subtitle [so you wont see txt often in my stuff unless its there to make it look kooler :D]

the only problem is that this funky all colorful theme aint really my thing
anyway, good job on everythin, except for the blond chicks edging
its a bit irregular around the gun
Nice concept, but I think the blue and red colors sort of clash and it makes some of the background characters hard to make out. Other than that a great job.
Interesting type of style. For me, I don't really think the colors go well together. Or possibly it's the fact that I'm not really into that type of coloring style.
Yay i really like it :D its so hard to find a good noir wallpaper. i like what you did with the abstracts and the background. good colors and the random warped text makes a nice detail
The colours work well (or, at least OK) in my opinion and I love the background and the font (good choice!) but I don't particularly like the colorized effect on the other images. I think it looks a little too dark . . . but that's just my opinion. *adds to favourites*
The walls looks great and i think the main chara in this wall is Mireille isn't it? ^_^
anyway i also agree that the composition within red and blue is not too matches and i think the "wild" image of Noir is missing (It just me). the effects of image and text is very great i think but also the problem is the colorized effects of the chara in the back.
maybe you should do something and i'm sure this walls will be more greater.

Cool concept! I'm afraid I belong in the group of those who are sceptical regarding the colour scheme (I'm especially a bit thrown off by the orange lining around Mireille), which is a shame, because otherwise I like the whole thing. Maybe it's simply too wild for me. :)
