Yes, this is from RahXephon. Thank you dearest Kalico for pointing that out. Im not sure why I thought this was Castlevania, save for its presence in my castlevania folder. Well..on with it.

I always thought about Paradise Lost, what a beautiful book. On seeing this image, I decided to play around with it to see how I could possibly portray such a painful and epic downfall of God's most favorite angel, Lucifer. His very name embodied the meaning of light.

In this piece you see him losing the last of what he was named for as the darkness created for him embraces him. "Fall Gently, Dear Lucifer"

This is my first attempt at a grunge-type wallpaper. Critiques gratefully accepted.

The concept is beautiful. :) And the execution is great too. But I don't know, for some reason the graininess doesn't really work. I guess it's because everything else (the light/fire on his chest, streaks of black, feathers, light effects) is clean and smooth. Maybe you could grunge up the streaks of black? And you could also try adding more grungey textures.

But I really really like this idea. His feathers fading, the "darkness" consuming him...down to the title of the wallpaper. Absolutely wonderful.

Lol, took me some time to figure out what it is :P Had to read your post to see the person in the wallpaper...damn now that I look at it, it can be noticed right away (hahah how could I've not noticed it before?) Really nice concept; it sets a rather dark and melancholy feel to the enitre wall. I like what you've done with the light escaping from his chest and face but I think you should make the seperation from Lucifer and the background more evident; it woud be a great help to those who can't see Lucifer at first. I also like how you've made his feathers fade as they get closer to the bottom. My favourite thing about what you did is how you made the darkness grab out for him =) Great wallpaper, keep up the good work!

thats kamina Ayato after he well...i don't wanna give spoilers, but trust me, it's from rahXephon. i just uploaded the scan here yesterday and used it in my most recent wall x_x
so i'm gonna be moving that to where it belongs.
overall, i think the wall is nice. and it could fit with the theme of rahXephon as well if you change the text to something else abotu tuning the world or something
and maybe move the colors away from red to a more heavinly lighter feel.
but thats going off from knowing rahXephon real well lol
okay. time to move this bad boy xD

My only real objection is the planet in the immediate background, which looks... wrong, somehow. The edge doesn't really look properly defined, I guess. Still, it looks wonderful. Another excellent wallpaper.

Wow this is definitely amazing. Favorited for sure. The concept is nice and the colors mesh well. Not too dark and not too light in some areas. The wall gives a sort of melodic feel.
